Fender precision bass project not working

The previous owner has made this look like a 63 p bass . He went at it with a blow torch and it does look cool. It’s been hanging on my wall for a few years just looking cool but now the electrics are not working? I brought new pots but my soldering skill are not that good (I will include them) Actions nice and I have put new flat wound strings on it.

so selling as a project .

Like. Some yellow stain over that would top off the relic - or a coffee grounding or a few used teabags

That would be a fun project. I'd complete the strippage and just spray a thin coat of black nitro on the body, however I have enough precisions at the moment.

If you want to get it working and sounding fantastic without any soldering required, I can recommend the EMG Geezer Butler pickup — I have 'em in two of my precisions.
