JMJ and an American Performer with Labella flats for me.

The JMJ is my go to bass played through a Sansamp Di - Tc Electronic Spectracomp - Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2 - Barefaced 15" and 12" cabs.

Anderson's seems to be the only place to have them... Including Fender (Squier)

Great idea for a thread! I've had a few over the years - mustang PJ, JMJ and a squier musicmaster which I had modified.

 

I fancy a vintera 70s or performer model at some point and I'll be keeping an eye out for used squier antiguas in the future...

I have a Vista Musicmaster - my first ever bass - which I love dearly...but is always on the edge of being modded. Leaving the original pickup but maybe a nice chrome humbucker at the bridge?

 

Only nostalgia is stopping me from doing it

Thanks! I wasn't too happy with the single coil pickup sound so had a new pickguard made to house a warman dual rail which has a much fatter sound, a reversible mod as I could return it to stock easily.

Ridiculous. I made a JJ Mustang from a Bronco for less than half that price. Ok, the MIJ one has better pickups, hardware, electronics and general workmanship, but apart from that..

Fender Japan, but made in Indonesia. Saw them, the line includes two signature guitars for the guitarists of Chilli Beans too (a Mustang and a Cyclone).

Any thoughts on the new American Professional Classic Mustang Bass - have we reached peak Mustang?! Looks nice but I’m not sure what it has to offer which isn’t already in the range.

If you ask me, the JMJ is peak Mustang. But this is pretty too. The logo is a bit too small for me, but the dakota red one looks very tasty.
