  1. Watching with interest. I've a new build planned and I want to do the piezo thing but I've never worked with them before
  2. God, I'm never doing an archtop 😆
  3. Oh, that's brilliant. I'm very much a slab body guy so this not my area but that's a great jig.
  4. 🤐 Love the progress. What's going on here, though? It's intriguing
  5. What's this? Development? Growth? Learning from mistakes? I call that deviating from your programming. Unacceptable. Very interesting build, though. Hitting those hidden knots and sap pools is like whatever the opposite of striking oil is. Glad you're able to make this piece work in spite of it.
  6. I too enjoy lying to myself. This is great stuff, Honza. I love a proud scarf joint, highlighted with veneers, rather than trying to hide it. Really looking forward to the carve on this neck.
  7. My god, that string spacing would kill me 😁 Tom Jenkinson played one in a live Shobaleader session (Boiler Room on YouTube) and it's probably the nicest tone I've heard from him. Enjoy!
  8. Great stuff. I love those tuners and I've been wondering if they could accept, and hold, a bass string for my next build. I don't like seeing machine heads so I wish ideas like this were more widely available
  9. This is amazing! The craftsmanship is so impressive and it's a beautiful instrument. Is there a video demo or audio recording? It looks like so much fun to play.
  10. Man, that looks like a lot of fun to play. Incredible, seamless carving work on the neck joint.
  11. Oh god yeah 😍 Burnt amber with maple board, please.
  12. Si bought a bridge off me - communication and payment was spot on, but also very understanding of some baby-based delays on my end. Cheers 👍
  13. I think if the donor bass was a rarer or more unusual-looking bass, then yeah, it's a cool project. But this is gonna cost about a hundred notes or more by the look of it. For that money, I think you could get a more interesting starting point for a headful->headless project.
  14. Those neck pocket screws 🤨 Jens Ritter eat your heart out
  15. Although the price is deranged, I love this as an art piece. It's like somebody used a drawing of a guitar in The Beano as a blueprint.
  16. That's a handsome guitar. Gonna nip over to YouTube for some audio samples, unless you have some you'd like to add..
  17. odds and sods acquired over years of building, repairing, modifying etc. All but the last one have spent time in use and are scratched to varying degrees. Hopefully the photos give an honest representation. Good gear, though. All working well. Useful if you're looking for cheap stuff for a little project. Prices include postage. 1. SOLD 4 string bridge. No screws. Provenance unknown. Can provide measurements if required. £7 - SOLD 2. SOLD Black 4 string bridge. With screws. £7 SOLD 3. Gotoh tuners. 4 in a line. From an 80s Matsumoku P-bass. I know they're Gotoh because I still have the Gotoh 206 bridge from the same bass and they used to have thin covers over the gear with the Gotoh logo. £15 4. SOLDGeneric black 2+2 tuners. Fairly heavily scratched. £7 SOLD 5. SOLD Telecaster guitar🤫 body hardware from a Thomann t-style kit. Unused. I bought the kit but did it "relic" style so I used genuinely older parts I already had. £10 SOLD
  18. I should've started this a while ago. I've bought a couple of things on here, but I've just started trying to sell (some EMG 5 string pickups here 😉) so, better late than never.
  19. Good price. Good communication. Prompt postage. Top marks all round. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  20. Oh, come on, this is FAR too nice a bass to live in a gigbag. Somebody buy it!
  21. I played one in my local music shop a couple of times. It feels and sounds amazing, and surprisingly affordable. I just can't honestly justify the expense or the space it would take up in my wee house. If I had a bigger house, I wouldn't be able to hold back. Enjoy!
  22. Yeah, I make and repair guitars for fun so this is definitely tempting for me, at this price.
