Reverend Fan Thread

I unashamedly love Reverend as a brand. Both their basses and guitars just look so cool and and great twists on classic silhouettes. Plus the build quality and pickups are great.  Even though I don't own one, I reckon it was time to start a fan thread so people can post their basses (and guitars) if they want

 

But the colours, man the colours. Just always doing something a bit different. Today is no different. A few new releases and I'm a fan of all 3 of the basses.

I love my Triad 5

 

 

Nice to see there's a reverse headstock now too, I asked about this before ordering the above, but nobody replied, I guess now I know why, it was clearly in the works.

 

The bulbous bit of the headstock (the bit at the end) looks larger on the 4-string than it does on my 5-string.

You don't need to give me an excuse to show off my korinaburst Triad.  It also has a Freeway 10 way switch fitted, for the standard options on one bank, then various series/parallel options not normally available.  Pretty simple fit, visually undetectable, very elegant mod (works by tilting the blade switch up/down to access the two banks of options).

I did buy that but returned it due to the lack of a forearm contour. It sounded great and the colour looked amazing. Was really sorry to part with it but I knew from previous experience, it would be uncomfortable for me to play.

My solution for that - a wristband, pulled up to where the forearm meets the body.  I play basses with zero forearm contouring, even binding without issue if I do this.

I was recording with my Fatfish 32 recently. Sounded fantastic. Pretty much only using the front pickup. Warm and woody.

I've never played one plugged in, but have been hanging my nose over the Triad occasionally for a while now. Need to investigate further at some point... 🤔

Brilliant! Is that the Root Beer Sparkle, I love that colour too. How do you find yourself using the pickups and tone controls? It's an unusual setup!

I've played the green Wattplower in a shop in Glasgow and a few other Reverend guitars - They're very well made.

 

I like the look of the yellow and root beer, but I prefer a 34" scale. The pink fade up top is lovely.
