EMG456
I know... well tighten it up then! Problem is the jacks, switches etc. on the Briefcase are mounted recessed into the aluminium front panel of the amp head and there is not enough room around them for any of my small sockets to fit in the gap. Any ideas how to do this? Edited August 19, 2023 by EMG456 problem adding image
PaulThePlug
Fold a bit of metal, width of the nut flats to a U shape, bigger flat tweezers... pinch 'n turn...

rmorris
Along the lines of the suggestions above (although I think pliers may still have clearance problems) - there is a tool used in camera repair/maintenance for taking lens assemblies apart that would likely be useful. eg https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126035815280?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=126035815280&targetid=1404115579373&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9045824&poi=&campaignid=17218284410&mkgroupid=142217514411&rlsatarget=pla-1404115579373&abcId=9300867&merchantid=644159465&gclid=CjwKCAjwloynBhBbEiwAGY25dD4tB0wx2A8ogGjlH4_1UA--xtEWAm2JW6ZQ3AKZ1-XVeqNE7ddZ5BoC3JcQAvD_BwE Edited August 21, 2023 by rmorris
BassBunny
Or a watch back removal tool. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111796404295?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=DzEeh3cqQ76&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=NXO8JSHoStK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
neepheid
It looks very pretty and all, but it's a bit form over function for me - I'm certainly not put off by a jack socket protruding somewhat from the face - the knobs and switches stick out way more after all. Hope you get it sorted.
BigRedX
Whoever is assembling the PJB units obviously has a suitable tool. I would contact PJB ask them where you can get one from.
John Cribbin
I'd guess box spanner, they have pretty thin walls.
EMG456
Thanks all who have chipped in ideas. I tried the box spanner thing but the ones I have are still too thick. I got a pair of small jeweller type needle nosed pliers and have managed to get enough on it to tighten it up for now. In addition, I have discovered tools I had no idea existed, which I have enjoyed.

If you've got a grinder of some sort, you could try grinding the points off the appropriate box spanner so all that's left is the flats, as there's more clearance between the flat and the front panel than the angle and the front panel.
