Flats are going to save the planet... it's true!

I've tried various sets of flats and eventually worked out that every time I put a set on, I 'enjoy' the novelty of something different for a while but soon have very little use for the bass in question. I then end up leaving it in its case for months on end and ultimately sell it "because I don't seem to play that one any more".

So what dodgy industrial fluids do they drink in Latvia then?

I like standart pepsi/good brandy/ice.....50/50. But most often i drink gin with tonic. I know that nice rum with cola is popular, too. But mostly we drink a different own made beer.

If You mean - what is the most popular ar nearest bars, then i think - clean vodka or own bear.

Meths is crude alcohol. Is there a local rough alcohol/moonshine in your part of the world?

So, I'm the only one removing flats...

Nope, despite many tries over the years flats aren’t for me. I get the initial “oh these feel nice I might keep them” but always end up with the same conclusion, not enough high end for me so off they come.

Did you try  TI’s Lozz, they are well bright , I have to eq mine down

I have a couple of times but still not enough top end. I wonder if my top end hearing is a bit iffy as even with steel rounds I boost highs & hi-mids a fair bit.

I have always thougt that flats had been made exactly for no high end players, so i think it's normal. Try nickel roundwounds and play some russian roulet with your amp eq. I think that will do.

You mean like ''hard core, soft porn''?

Not really. Look up "moonshine" or "poitin" on Wikipedia. They're examples of home-made alcoholic spirits. Most countries have their versions, usually distilled using local crops or produce. What is the Latvian version?
