....and it was well worth the wait. i gigged with it last night and it plays pretty much like my MIA Jazz but with alot more thump, which is what I was looking for.

Here she is with her American cousin

Still experimenting but so far I'm liking it. I was looking for a precision sound but I don't get on with the necks on P basses so I went for this, having the neck pickup almost full on on its own gives me the thump I'm after and then gradually rolling on the bridge pickup gets it back to sounding like a Jazz but with a fuller bottom end.

I actually bought it on Ebay. Theres an American seller on there called thomasldh who seems to specialise in Aerodynes. The bass came direct from Ishibashi in Japan, for more details about them see the sticky about importing guitars in the bass guitars section of this site. Another place worth looking at is www.guitaremporium.co.uk

This site seems to be worth a look too. I've never used them, but the prices look good: http://craftedinjapan.co.uk/gallery_74489.html

....serious GAS warning though!

These prices are good IMO, bearing in mind all taxes/VAT are included. Saves all the worry and headache too.

Got access to some lovely Jazzes on there.
