Figured we needed one of these, after all, the GB boys have one!

This is my Sei/Mcintyre 5 string Jazz, nearly chnage this a while back for a very similar 5 string Jazz with a J-retro, but couldn't go through with it, this bass is ther nuts, plays soooo nice and looks great, so it's gonna have a J-retro in the new year!

Flamboyant Offset fretless 5-string...

Flamed sycamore/bubinga body, maple/bubinga neck, Brazillian rosewood fingerboard pickup covers and ramp, Bartolini Gary Willis pickups and ACG pre-amp, orange and yellow LEDs.

Probably the best musical instrument I've ever played. Everything I hoped it would it would be when spec'ing up this bass with Martin and then some. Has pretty much cured my fretless GAS!

Glad to hear your liking the bass, couldn't stay away from Sei, hence the new jazz, didn't you have a few other Sei's?

Hi Tony, the Sei Jazz is really very nice indeed (but I can't post photos that are any better than those here!) Your new Sei/McIntyre looks stunning and I was sorely tempted when I saw it advertised. I did have a couple more Seis as you suggest - one now with a fellow BCer (Flaboyant 5 headless) and another (singlecut 6) at the Gallery - I'll post some pictures when I find them.

Cheers, Lozbass

Agreed - IMHO Sei's are the most beautiful basses around - and they sound amazing and are pretty incredible to play too.

Anyway here's my lovely, lovely bass....

My Sei Jazz is in progress too so hopefully early-ish next year I'll have some more progress shots

Wishing a Happy Sei-filled Christmas to you all...

Cheers

Mike

My current Sei, which I'll be withdrawing from sale shortly.....

My first Sei, a Flamboyant 6 which now belongs to a very nice chap in the States....

My second Sei, a Flamboyant 4...incidentally if anyone has this bass then at some stage in the future, when cash allows, I may be interested in buying it back...

BTW Mike, I love your Sei. I'd love to get one pretty much like that myself, once again when cash allows...

7string; was only up for sale due to the credit crunch and because no-one was interested in the other bass I was selling (I really need the money). I now have some interest in that regard and have decided I want more Seis in the future, not less!

Urb; that is stunning. I want one!

Definitely hang on to the Melt bass - that's a cool one that - lovely bit of decoration and she plays great as well - and yes, my Sei seems to have that effect on a lot of people, I was at the Gallery on Monday and another Sei owner was there commissioning a Single Cut with Buckeye on it and he laid the blame for his lack of will power to resist squarely with me and my Sei - Neil you made the right decision!

It's so good all round that I am still discovering its joys both aethetically and sonically on a daily basis - it really was worth waiting a few years tobe able to afford one, and the pain of the build time melts away in seconds when you finally get your hands on one of these killer basses.... joy.
