It has the same front still, but the version now being sold is called the One X and went from 12 to 18v... I assume due to some headroom requests. It's easily my fav chorus I've ever used. Edit: I should add that I've tried this pedal on 9v and 12v as well, and honestly don't have any headroom issues doing so. I'm interested in what made you ask the question? Have you read other comments somewhere about there being headroom issues? Edited October 16 by pantherairsoft 1 Quote
JPJ Posted October 19 Posted October 19 Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had a better sound than this combination gives me. I’m a huge fan of gentle compression when playing live and the Empress just gets the job done. The nerve centre of tone is the Jad Freer Capo which is just lush to play through, and then the Phil Mann with bass in mind version of the SushiboxFX Finally DI pushes out a lovely fat warm valve DI to FoH. The Thumpinator is there to protect my amp (I love this little box of tricks) but as I’m now almost always using IEM’s the amp is almost becoming redundant. 13 Quote
Sibob Posted October 20 Posted October 20 Was trying out the Duality for the first time last night, needs some slight tweaking/dialing-in, but I think it’s a keeper. Really starting to get to grips with the FJBOD too, really cool tones different to what I get with the BB Pre. Si 12 Quote

jan4 Posted Wednesday at 12:24 Posted Wednesday at 12:24 Here is my pedal board. Any suggestions for a better order? 3 Quote
keziahj Posted Wednesday at 14:00 Posted Wednesday at 14:00 I’d place the chorus after the filter. 2 Quote

I'd put the POG2 before the Big Muff, as the Muff will affect the tracking on the octaves. Experiment with chorus before and after the Muff, it makes a big difference! 3 Quote
basexperience Posted yesterday at 16:06 Posted yesterday at 16:06 (edited) Just completed my Filter board extension for the HX loop. It works just how I wanted!! This is with everything hooked up - no digital noise, we seem to be up and running! the sounds on offer from this lot are endlessly creative. I started making the filter board because I had much loved pedals I wasn’t using: now I remember why I love the QTron, the funk face and the Soundblox envelope filter. The SYB-5 managed to fit, and the new pedals - the digitech, the lovely prunes and custard clone I bought from @LukeFRC and the B-tron, all have something to bring. FUN! And the Drolo Kiwami is BONKERS (another great BassChat purchase from @Lunoxx!) . I repaired that one by replacing a gain knob, fiddly but so rewarding, that thing makes the maddest noises! https://www.basexperience.co.uk/new-bass-filter-pedalboard/ Edited 23 hours ago by basexperience 5 1 Quote

0175westwood29 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Opened my board up last practice to find it was all loose and messed up! Don’t know how! Probs getting the guys in the band to help me load out at last gig and they might have been a tad violent! lol any ways I had a few things to put on! And before you all say the ashdown bass exchange is a vibe and I love it!! And I’m fully aware how extra it is!!! 3 Quote
LukeFRC Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago is that Ashdown recreating a LS-2 in a handy pedalboard sized enclosure? Quote

I’m considering doing that sort of thing, one utility type board (tuner, comps, HP filter etc) with a loop on it to boards for either fretted, fretless or blynth (bass line synth 😁). Could potentially do it all on Nano’s, mmm, time to ponder 🤔 Quote

Basically, but with a massive transformer for splitting the signal, I’m using it to run two bases, and like I said it’s a vibe lol! also it weighs a tonne so I can use this as weapon aswell if a gig kicks off lol Quote

Could potentially do it all on Nano’s, mmm, time to ponder 🤔 Exactly! The loop on the HX stomp was the clincher, but there are other ways - like a pedal switcher with a couple of patchbay lines on the back of the board (I used to run a switched on my huge board), hell, you could dedicate 2 external send/return lines for extension boards to isolate them. Advantage is, the send / return is going to have good level, and on the stomp I get to put a limiter / compressor / reverb / whatever on the other side of the board. Currently I have to run the creative board (the freeze / slicer / looper) after the filter board, but it works... Quote
