Anyone have the 16? I can't justify the cost of the 18 but the 16 is half the price, and am pretty happy with 8 microphone channels and 4 busses.
I assume the functionality is the same but just less of.

In addition - Main differences are the lack of multitrack recording - XR16 will only do a stereo mix - and the XR16 doesn't have Ultranet, which is used for the separate P16-M monitor mixers.

I knew about the lack of multitrack recording, and that is a bit of a shame to drop off (but again, the price difference is about double, so I can live with it). Not sure what the monitor mixers are - will have a look into that to see if it is something I need.

I prefer to use my big Samsung tablet to my phone, Apple looks different to Android and laptop is different again with LOADS of extra features.

+1 it's better to work with on a bigger screen. We use a fairly cheap android tablet which works fine. Doesn't need to be too fancy as all the processing is happening inside the xr not in the tablet.

I think it will be ok with one big screen and other members with phones???

Yep just make sure they all know to change their own monitor feed and not foh because on a small screen it can be hard to tell the difference.

I am new to the xr18 and am having trouble with monitor volume control.  I have viewed a number of vids and do not have the screen needed to click on "utility" icon and there I am stopped. Surely it's an easy fix...., what am I  missing?

What are you using for control? Windows PC, Mac, iPad, Android tablet?

What monitor do you mean? I am not sure I have ever pressed or noticed a utility icon

Ignore the Behringer haters, that’s an outdated viewpoint.

I’ve been using XR18’s for all 8 of the function bands I run, doing 40-80 gigs a year for coming up to 10 years. They are great pieces of kit and Behringer make great hardware now at this level. Never had any issues.

The X32 is now not far off the price point of an X18 since the Wing was released if you feel you’ll ever need more channels.

Easy to multitrack record gigs, everyone can run their own IEM.

Just buy your own external router.

If you use Mixing station app, (which you should) then you can get band members to log in with only their bus send permission. So no changing FOH settings by accident.

What Behringer haters? The X-Air series are much loved on BC.
