Bought Martin's G&L Tribute SB-2 from him at a cracking price. Unbelievably he knocked some more off it and gave me some flatwound strings to take away and put on it when I got home. 

Also got to try out his G&L Fallouts which were a bit of a revelation!

Bought Martins GK 1001RB at the weekend. Great guy to deal with and a smooth process. Would definitely recommend.

I bought Martin's GK 700RB II which he'd recently repaired with a new power supply board. I've always wanted a GK amp as I love the punch and growl some of my favourite bands get using those amps.

 

Being a good few hours away from me and not wanting to courier the amp he kindly agreed to meet me halfway at one of the M5 services near Worcestershire.

 

All communication was great, Martin was super friendly and we stood talking about all things music/bass for well over 45 mins in the car park. The amp was exactly as described, and even though I'd bought cash with me to pay for it he insisted I took it on and saw how I got on with it before paying for it. What a gent.

 

Needless to say I took it to rehearsal a couple of days later to try it out and duly paid via bank transfer that evening, I was sold within 5 mins of hearing the sweet sounds coming out of it.
