lefrash Posted February 1, 2015 Share Posted February 1, 2015 I'm looking for something simply to get an amplified sound out of when at home. I currently use my PC, but thats becomin a faff and to be honest, so I'd love just a wee amp that I can plug and play. I'm not convinced I necessarily want a bass specific one either, so open to guitar amps too. Looking to spend £50 - £60, there seems to be about a million of them (guitar and bass) out there, Alot for even less. I'm suspecting that at this price, theres not gonna be a big difference. The guitar version gets some fairly spectacular reviews for an amp that costs £50 brand new! I assume the bass version is similarly decent. There's also the Yamaha THR which looks right up your street but its a lot more pennies. I quite fancy a Pathfinder myself, lets hope we don't bid against each other They were £35 on Amazon at Christmas, gutted I missed out on one. operative451 Posted February 3, 2015 Share Posted February 3, 2015 I recently got a Warwick Blue cab 15.1 to use as a travel amp, for 40 quid from my local second hand music gadgets shop (Wants in Plymouth, go to the small one not the big one!) and its fab! Had it about 4 years, it sits in my study/practice room so I can just plug'n'play. Sensible volume, some effects and amp modelling which I never use!
