Hi folks,
Just trying to find out the differences between these two reissue basses, the 57 and te 62 precision. The 57 has the maple fingerboard... That's the only obvious difference but is there anything like neck shape or pickup nuances to consider? I can't find reliable English language info anywhere.
Thank you

I don`t know if the Japanese ones follow the same trends as the US, but if so the neck on the 57 will be wider - 44mm, as oppose to the "regular" width of the 62, being approx 41mm. Again if following the same form, the 57s are supposed to have a brighter sound in comparison to the 62s.

Both are brilliant basses, I've owned both. As said the 57 is slightly wider at the nut and there is a small difference in tone that you only really notice if you play them alongside each other but basically both deliver classic P tones. I played the 57 for years and years. The 62 lasted a fair while with me too :)
