tom1946 Posted November 20, 2020 Share Posted November 20, 2020 I really am unhappy at having to leave negative feedback and can only tell the truth. I bought the Fiesta red Stingray with that gorgeous birdseye maple neck from Col on the clear understanding that it weighed 8.5 lbs. He weighed it on his old scales and said it was around 8.5 lbs, I said are you really sure? Col said he'd ordered a set of Salter scales from Amazon and when they arrived he confirmed that it was 8.5 lbs on them too so I agreed to buy it. Couldn't wait, it's a wonderful bass so imagine my surprise when I picked it up out of the case, it felt heavy to me so I got my digital postal scales out and the reality is that it weighs 10.85 lbs! Felt like it too. I'm 74 with a glass shoulder and a very bad back so it's useless to me. I immediately contacted him to return it but he's spent the money. I never spend the money until I know my customer is satisfied. I don't think that 2 sets of scales can be exactly 2.5 lbs out.
