Tech-21 VT Bass 1U Rack!

New for 2013... I loved the VT Bass pedal, but I much prefer not to have separate boxes plugged in and to keep everything racked up for convenience. And there's 1U of space left in my rack just waiting for this!

GAK are doing them for £319.

There’s also an XLR Output Level control for optimum performance with PA systems. Other features include an Effect Loop with a Mix 50/50 switch (for parallel or series operation), an XLR output with selectable levels, and a buffered direct XLR output to provide a dry signal."

Does anyone find this feature useful? I've seen it on a few amps. I love a blend control with my effects but I hardly ever set it to 50/50. It seems to me they could put a blend knob on there just as easily as a switch, and it'd be much more useful.

I wonder if they'll make a Leeds version...

There's a guy in the US who converts Tech 21 stomps into 1U rack units. He can add additional functionality too. Very good stuff apparently.

In addition, yes, I'm gassing for one of these. Will probably dump the BDDI and upgrade to a 4U rack. Looking forward to this.

Halfway to what i've always wanted, which is a MIDI controllable rack mounted VT Bass Deluxe. If i move back to a rack rig there'll be some series contemplation about whether to get one of these or not.

What you're describing appears to be the new amps which contain two VT bass preamps, a power amp, and can optionally be midi controlled:

I had seen the VT '69 when it came out. Although it did look very interesting, the setup i have in mine doesn't use an amp at all, just preamp straight to the PA with no power amps or cabs involved, unless i need them.
