But I think rather than get a Fender Stratocaster headstock-shaped coffee table, an actual bass guitar would be awesome. Garish, yes; babe-repellant, yes; but awesome nonetheless. It just so happens that in this case it's a bass guitar. Maybe it sounds nice, I don't know, I just don't like the look of it. I suppose when you pay for a bespoke guitar the chances are you're the only person who'll like the way it looks, unless you happen to have excellent taste. To me, that's the point in a doubleneck - live use so you don't have to switch. I'd regard that as a work of art, but not something I'd pay Bill Conklin £5000 for. That said, I can't really see the point of having two necks of seven strings. I would have said that you had every eventuality covered in one bass, but this guy appears to have a million Conklins!!?
