gazhowe Posted September 5, 2012 Share Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) I bought the 500w amp frame, solid state pre-amp, blank eq section and master with VLE & VPF filters. I later swapped the pre-amp for the tube one. Couldn't have been easier - ordered pre-amp from Mark at Bass Direct Friday morning, it arrived Saturday morning and was in place 10 minutes later. I've been really annoyed with my F1 recently, it's an amazing amp but since I've been getting stronger I've been brickwalling it constantly which really spoils my sound. Last gig I played I went DI from pedalboard and was the best sound i EVER had ... Anyway i'm rambling... [/quote] MarkBass have been offering MoMark kit at a discount for a while now. Once you've lashed out for the basic chassis the individual modules can be really quite cheap. [/quote] Can't say that I really noticed any obvious limiting going on with the MoMark, just felt 'loose' and powerful - not sure if this helps, lol.
