OK, my avatar is my custom 1987-8 Larkin Recter Fretless 4B:
Mahogany body and neck, Irish Walnut veneer with matching headstock, Ebony lined board, Schaller hardware, Kent Armstrong humbuckers, 3band active eq (can't remember what make the preamp is) currently strung with Rotosound 55's.

Attached pic is a before/after of my modified Squier Vintage Modified fretless:
Gotoh 301, fake grounding strip, tort pg, Fender pull-bar, Fender pup cover, Fender style Jazz Bass knobs, new switchcraft & CTS electrics with an old .05 cap and wired for series/parallel. Currently strung with Rotosound 66's.

I can't believe that there isn't already a fretless thread!!

Here's my Veillette Citron - doesn't get any use I'm afraid - bought it from Doctor of the Bass in less than perfect condition - new tuners, strings, bodywork and colour and it's in a condition where it's worth keeping..should put it to better use really..

Previous comments include how well it goes with the furniture...

Gaaah, my work has tightened restrictions on uploads and so I cannot add any photos to BassChat from work. If you click on the links in my sig below you will see pics of my '71 fretless P/J and my '83 Wal Mk1 fretless :)

This will not tempt you, but it is my current main bass. Frankenstein extreme, used to be an 82 Ibanez Roadstar

This will soon be my new main bass, neck is currently soaking in danish oil, pickups are on the way...

Also not tempting. Oh, and Rizla is not helping build it, she just got in the picture. :)

It's the worlds slowest restoration project....
I started stripping it, then needed it in a hurry for a gig, so never finished the refin. There is a lot more to do to it, but it keeps needing to be used. Once I've finished the P, it'll get some work done on it.

BTW, should have seen it when I got it for £20 off ebay, it was black sparkle with a f*** off great crack right through the middle. I had to chuck the neck, it was a banana with a broken truss rod.

You asked for it:

Sei Flamboyant Offset 5-string

Stunning bass, congrats.

Here's my (more boring and predictable) much loved fretless

Tasty! I wish Fender would release cheaper versions of this, maybe with 3 controls and an enbanol board...
+1. That Sei's frigging gorgeous.
Thanks guys! Unfortunately it's not getting very much use at the moment because neither of my gigging bands have much call for fretless bass, and if they did the Gus G3 would be the one with the right sound to use. However I have just started on a recording project with a band I was in during the early 90s as the guitarist wanted to record some updated versions of the songs we wrote and it looks like being the right bass for most of these.

It's a single single fretless bass made by Atlansia. Currently strung with a Rotosound flatwound E.

Tokai 1984 currently on it's third fingerboard (ebony) the logo was ruined by the numpty who replaced the first board.
Nobody told me in the Eighties that Jaco put marine resin on to preserve the rosewood, and I could never get my ears around flats!
