1. Anyone else spot this? Fender Introduces American Standard Jaguar Bass by Kevin Johnson | Monday, June 16th, 2014 3.2k 19 0 3 Fender is adding a Jaguar model to their American Standard bass lineup, which will be the first U.S.-made Jaguar bass. Built in their Corona, California plant, the American Standard Jaguar Bass will be built with an alder body finished in 3-color Sunburst, Olympic White, Black, or Mystic Red. Each bass will be loaded with a P/J pickup configuration consisting of a Precision pickup made with alnico 5 magnets and a Jazz Bass bridge pickup made with ceramic bar magnets with hex-screw pole pieces. Similar to the Jaguar style, it has many tonal options thanks to active/passive electronics with the Jaguar’s recognizable control layout. The lower control plate holds the master volume and tone knobs, while the upper plate has an active/passive slide switch and thumb wheels for treble and bass boost or cuts. The third control plate has switches to turn each pickup on or off and a switch to toggle series or parallel modes when both pickups are on. Fender fits the bass with High-Mass Vintage bridges with the option for top loading or string-through-body and their “F” lightweight vintage-paddle tuning machines. Other features include a maple neck, 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, and a stealth “A” string retainer. The Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass is shipping soon with a street price around $1,499. 3. Love this! Didn't mick karn play a fret less one?
4. I follow them on Facebook, they post some lovely looking bass's, never seen one for sale second hand either!
5. Well it's great to hear so many different points of view, I think from a personal level, I just want to try and make sense of it all, I don't usually have a problem jamming along with other musicians, etc but do feel a bit of a Faker sometimes, I think it's also to do with self worth.
6. Well I'm glad I'm not the only one, don't feel quite as bad now lol!
7. I must admit I am really slack at them, even after playing for years, in several bands! I have made the decision to get on top of it this year though , practice, practice, practice!
8. That's crazy! No I haven't but will check it out now.
9. Why do songs get thrown out that have been perfected ? Is this a group decision? If you have enough songs to do a few gigs then get some booked in, nothing like a bit of pressure to get people to pull their finger out! A band meeting with no instruments is a must, sooner rather than later!
10. What a load of twats! I wouldn't want to be in a band that had those sort of views anyway !
11.
sorry to be the Rotosound negative guy, but i really don't like them. i think they are cheap, and don't last very long.lots of hype, but nothing quality about any string they have ever made. I'm not going to bang on about my favourite string. ok DR's. they last forever, and they sound awesome. yes they are expensive, but they are so worth it, no matter your preference.
I'm with bubinga on this one, you can just feel the quality under your fingertips !
12. I use my own rig about 98% of the time , the occasions when I don't I am never happy with my sound!
13. Looking for a change, and thought I might give some a go! Anyone any info or experiences ?
14. Like the look of that Andy, trouble is the top of my board has a fixed covering of one half of the velcro material
15. Welcome, loads of great stuff for sale here, some smashing folk too!
16. Hello, welcome and have fun
