1. I'll give him £30 for it.....Depending on condition,anything around £800 to £1500 ish.My 78 P's are insured for £1200.
 2.
While there is a thread going for little things that we cant figure out, can someone please explain the purpose of a ramp, coz I cant get my head round them? Also, Why Does it Hurt When I Pee?
You're squeezing too tightly.
 3.
great thread idea. Why is it that guitar amps are usually mic'd whilst bass amps are usually DI'd?
You can shove an SM57 in front of a guitar amp,but with lower bass frequency you're getting into more specialist - and therefore more expensive - microphones.
 4.
Haha! I think the day when you commission a custom bass is the day your best friend should punch you in the face. Like your art is so unique it requires a bespoke instrument. Your art as a bass player - no other instrument screams 'accompaniment' like the bass guitar, nobody needs a bespoke bass built to their own specification unless they have a disability and require a uniquely accessible instrument.
You are my new Hero.
 5. I have been known to dress up occasionally. I've also been described as "That scary bastard bassist" which surprises me,'cos I'm lovely.
 6. I can just about manage playing and standing up at the same time.
 7.
. Also, left handed guitars look... well... odd
I think not.
 8.
What? A real Gibson one?
Gawd no....Tokai.
 9.
Yes I thought there might be, but why? and if it's because naturally held it left handed, do you do other stuff left handed
I can't even hold a R/H instrument, let alone play one.Just feels totally wrong.Everything else,I'm predominantly right handed.I believe Jimi Hendrix had the same issue.Good job the guitar teacher at my school never taught him.
 10.
Wonder if there's any right handed people that play left handed?
Me.
 11. I actually can't think of any,now I have a L/H Thunderbird.
 12.
Please do, I've used neons and black beauties and find the DR coating a bit weird. I kept getting friction burns from them.
That is odd,and unusual.Possibly an allergy?
 13.
We could 'pin' a lefty discussion thread in the Bass Guitars forum for the discussion side of things. That'd be a good idea - but it couldn't include adverts for any sales or trades.
Yes.Call it the Leftorium.
 14. Eminence.
 15. The one on the left looks like a Kustom.
 16.
Man I love this one. Can't hear your vid very well but that could be the fault of my laptop speakers I guess.
Are those Dodge Chargers above your noggin?
 17.
4 more than i really need but who cares...
No....It isn't..
 18.
Curiosity?
Tumour.
 19. I've always found the Lefties section very useful, and have bought a few basses from it.Don't fancy trawling through RH'ers getting frustrated...
 20.
doesnt look right left handed, even the cat isnt impressed ;P
He's dead now.
 21.
Funnily enough I am the same but the opposite way around. I am Right Handed but I am only comfortable playing Left Handed. Not the best choice for guitar availability maybe but it is the only way that works for me. I tried to learn guitar as a teenager (Right Handed) and just could not get the hang of it. However, the issue 'might' be that I am (well was) a pretty good Brass player (Cornet, Flugal/Tenor Horn), so was used to operating the valves with my right hand. When I tried again a couple of years ago (my girls started to learn Guitar at school, so I thought I would try again so I could practice with them) and I instinctively picked up a left handed guitar in the local music shop. Fretting with my right seems to work in my head like operating the valves with the right. Admittedly my pick skills are still a little wanting but now that I mainly play bass, fingerstyle works pretty well for me. I am not ambidextrous by any stretch (although I seem to be left handed for archery as well ), I cannot play Cricket or Golf left handed. Its a real pain for choice, although as someone has mentioned - it does save you from rash purchases. I am looking at getting a Schecter as my next bass, as they seem to be one of the best manufacturers for left handed guitars.
Same here,I'm not left handed,I just cannot physically hold, let alone play,a right handed instrument. I believe Jimi Hendrix had the same problem..
 22. That's the only LH Ibanez bass of that type I've ever seen,so it might well be worth it.Playing left handed does have advantages, more than a few times I've been into shops and found a dusty bass hanging up that the shop are more than willing to haggle over because they know I'm the only person likely to buy it.
 23.
It's telling that I can't differentiate between a £2K koi and a £299 one..! But then who can tell the difference between a Custom Shop bass and a Chinese copy at twenty paces?
The Custom shop one would taste better.
 24. I had 10 years off due to a spinal injury, and I'm currently off with ligament issues in my plectrum hand.
