I actually find the EMG's in the early Warwicks to be quite neutral and TBH the MEC's in the early Streamers that I've had haven't sounded a million miles different. It was pointed out to me recently (by a very knowledgeable professional luthier) that modern EMG's have a different tone to the 80's and early 90's ones, possibly due to a change in their preamp design!
You have PM sir!
2. Would you say the emg's take away the tone of the Stage II man?
3. You sir are very cruel for offering all these basses at the same time I can afford any of them when I should be getting an Eden rig.........would you say I should I wait longer for the rig and nab one of your Stage II's man:-)??
4. Alex Rodriguez of Saosin. Copeland any day. Jordan Mancino of As I Lay Dying.
5. Moving on from the Jazz's already man?
6.
Not bad at all, I really like Warwick basses, and you've got two really nice ones there.
Thanks man, just need a Thumb NT and a Streamer Stage II then I'll be happy.
7.
God Josh...thats a Lancia Delta INTACT driving behind you!!! Rare shot indeed!
That ain't me fooool! It's Bottomfeed/Dave.
8.
< the 'king mullet' days.......... now......
Ummmm Dave is that Mr. Reason to your right???
9.
those warwicks are gorgeous
Thanks man.
SNAP! I had a Westone Spectrum II when I was 18 and didn't get my Jaydee Supernatural MK until I was 20. Sweet jesus, some of you guys are seriously lucky, even if you work to afford the gear. I couldn't get a decent paying job where I lived to fund some of that sort of stuff even if bust my balls. Good on ya
My Sainsburys job pays pretty damn well and I only have one thing to pay monthly and that's £80 rent so al the rest is purely bass money.
10.
Thanks Josh! I'll be sad to see it go.... it's so light on the shoulder.... but so full in tone!
Ah well like you said your getting a custom Spector, so surely that'll knock the memory of this one off your mind?
11. That's quite a nifty Spector man!
12. My 2: Not bad for an 18 year old.
Nice basses. What are the Nordy's like in the Streamer? I've been considering making the Nordstrand move on my Streamer Stage 1 for a while but this is the first streamer I've seen with them.
I'm still getting to grips with them, I've only just managed to set it up to my liking and I knwo for sure I need a much better amp for the full potential of the Nord's to come out, prefably an Eden rig or Ampeg. But it really comes down to whats your ideal tone, mine is your standard jazz/Warwick punch and growl with a good bass presence but still sticks out of the mix, they do manage to give me that tone but it's taken me a while and I've had to turn my eq on my amp off just to get it, and change the strings specifically and what not and I'm still trying to figure what each knob does still which is a tad bit annoying, but as I said they're quite Hi-Fi p'ups and really you need the right amp to compensate.

My current "W" crop: Streamer Stage I 5 string 1990, Modded: Still getting to grips with the Nordstrands. Thumb Bolt-On 4 string 1999: Love this thing. And 2 NT Thumbs and 2 Streamer Stage II's shall be joining the family soon.
15. Recent one: Yes I do rather like Transformers....
16. A rather nifty Warwick Streamer Stage 1 courtesy of Toasted!
17. Either a a Thumb NT or Streamer Stage II....which I have to pay for.
18. Well I'll be having at least a minimum of 6: Thumb B.O Thumb 4 NT Thumb 5 NT Streamer Stage II 4 Streamer Stage II 5 Geddy or Marcus Miller Jazz Ohhh and both a full Eden Rig and Ampeg rig. I like having money
19. Just saying that chris is a legend to deal with and somebody is going to get a damn good bass either way!
20. Didn't he have a stint with Spector basses in the early days also?
21. I know and whats best is I can afford that:-) Yeah it was Chris's and then traded for his jazz and then Marcus let it go for a crazy-good price, but alas I was moneyless.
22. Well particually when your a young Warwick enthusiast as well, and nopw I want your Stage 2 worse than anything!! I would lunge wildly at the Pope for that one!
23. You really shouldn't of shown me that!
24. And Warwicks are like peanuts this time of year, you get one, and then you want another, and then another until you run out of floorspace, well in my case I've got a whole attic room to fill so this is so horribly inappropiate:-)
25. And the additonal £900 I'm getting from work on friday as well, and I have been toying with the idea of a Stage 1 or 2 alot lately, so it's perfectly good/bad timing man!!
