Didn't he have a stint with Spector basses in the early days also?

Just a quick update, quite a bit of interest from assorted folk, but this bass is primarily on a first come first serve basis but if anyone wishes to hold it back then thats perfectly fine also. Also to put inds at rest, the bass comes with a foam hardcase-gig bag which is what I got with the bass, a little worn but does the job fine. Thanks for the interest thus far guys, I'm also thinking about lowering the price to £325 to anyone who can arrange postage and what-not.

As mentioned, they go a bit quick but i love the punch I get from when they're worn in.

Since the arrival of my Thumb I've felt absolutley no need to play this bass, which is a shame being a damn good bass but my Thumb is more what I'm after. Anyhoo, pics: This one points out the wear on the back, it's nothing serious, just a sign of a well gigged bass: Everyone know's about these basses by now so theres not too much need of an explanation, but I'll add that having the Bart's instead of the original MEC's (Which I still have) makes a marginal difference in the tone and also the playability, having the poles covered instead of exposed on the MEC's it makes it easier having the pick up's closer to the string for a more of a ramp feel. This bass has previously been owned by Si on here as well and was a great guy to deal with, so if anybody needs any other opinions I'm pretty sure he'd be someone to get in contact with as well. Right for a cash price I thinking £350 or about £325 collected, as I'm not too sure about the coruiers down here in Bridgwater, the ones I have used have all been unpleasent and a general dissapointment service wise, but if we can arrange something that's perfectly cool. Also if anyone has any jazz basses for trade with cash your way then I'm all ears. Thanks All Josh
So underrated I've never heard of him. Who does he play for?
Maroon 5, he's alright, hold's down the groove quite well but thats about it.
Have you worked out the ridiculous tappy widdly bits where it is just drums and bass towards the end? If so, can you either vid yourself playing them or tab them Edit - I am not referring to the end bit I already know that
If I ever get the chance to sit down with a bass set up in the right tuning I might try and figure it out but otherwise all my attention is on figuring out Martinie's lines and Dirk's as well.
I love Warwicks, and if everything goes well should own my third by tomorrow. My avatar has me playing one (though it isn't clear). But I was just surprised that all these videos had them all in quick succession. Especially as there is a good range in availablity to your rock/metal/whatever Kerrang plays bassists. Maybe it just goes to show that Warwick users do have good taste.
And having seen the videos listed, in each that Warwick tone just cuts through and takes prominence in the mix, it's great to hear. I should be getting my first Thumb at the end of this month so thats something to look foward to
I'm sitting here with Kerrang in the background and I've noticed that the last four videos have had bassists with Warwicks on them. Fightstar - Stryker Can't Remember the band's name - Vampyre Enter Shakari - Jazzman Fei Comodo - Thumb It's like a bloody Warwick fest here tonight.
It's kind of good to see, for me when I see certain bassists in bands using Warwicks I can sometimes safely assume they know how good Warwicks are and themselves are quite established players, for example: Ryan Martinie in my avatar. But then there are the ones who have a Warwick because somebody told them they're expensive so they must be good but either way they still sound good on any recording.
There's a thumb going secondhand in For Sale at £650.
I've got my eyes on it Sir, I just hope it stays around til the end of this month because I'll have more than enough for it, well at least this is the first time I can actually admitt to GAS clouding my judgement, thanks guys for your insights!

I think it could be that I'm just seriously wanting a Thumb bass, knowing I've already got a form of Warwick kept me going and I do like the Corvettes now but I think I'm striving for that Thumb bass midrange growl which sadly my $$ lacks though still having a nice punchy tone, so you may be right man it just eb the wrong model thats all and as I've said I can afford to get one soon so it may just be me getting impaitent as well.
Sounds like you're bored. Simple solution: get into a new band.
I wish it was that simple but it's hard to find good drummers and good guitarists down here who are interested in making different music as opposed to whats happening in the music scene nowadays and it's not exactly a case of boredom, more frustation, there's so much I can and have to learn that I could never really get bored as I've got so much to do.
