Gary
Hey Gary, I do like the TonePump, I like being able to control the individual volumes of the pick up's, but I'm just after a little more control of the mids and treble, but for the meanwhile I'm happy with the tone.

3.
why did he leave JK? always wondered, i just assumed its because of an argument or something, what with JK being a c*** and all
Apprently it was because he wasn't being credited in the song writing that much and that he wasn't being fairly compensated financially. Simon Merrick might know the real answer.
4. The very tale end of the 90's.
5.
Hey Josh, that's Barrie's old one, isn't it? How did you enjoy your trip to Henley?
It partially still is, but I'm confident he'll agree on him keeping my 535, I'm already loving the Sadowsky, all it needed was to be dropped down a full step and it literally is exactly what I want it to be. I'm already use to the scale and size etc... And luckily the jazz shape finally suites me at long last, and really just covers the otherside of tonal palette perfectly. It just needs a few minor changes before I'm 100% happy with it. I'm also trying to find out what kind of bridge it is so I can find out if there is a black version of it. Twas the other way round man, Barrie came down here as he was delivering his Mark Bass combo to Rasta and they met up at the Bridgwater services, so he came on down with the Sadowksy, his Roscoe (Beautiful bass) and Zon for me to have a widdle on, Barrie is rather pleasent chap isn't he?
6. I'm more blown away by my tone lately, especially in the last 10 minutes since I got my Auralex Gramma pad.
7.
What's the ETA on yours?
Joe's or mine?
8. I stand corrected about my previous comments on Sadowskys. A happy family: Dibbley.
9. Sorted:
10. Rich, get one. And smile!
11. That bass has brought out the best in you Mike.
12.
Am I the only one who finds 'stealth' basses a bit TOO black?? I think this looks very nice as it is! ped
It's only too black if the strings are as well, whereas I find silver on black a tad tacky.
13. It's screaming for black hardware.

Adding Growl

Ironically my Spector Euro with a PJ config is IMO muh more growly than my previous SSII, I generally just love the way the Precision pick up adds the bottom whilst still letting alot of that elusive bridge p'up growl shine through without fail. Also, a while ago I had my local luthier install a J-p'up on my old Squire, and it really did bring in the growl. I'll admit this now, if I ever had to forcefully get a P-Bass it would need to have a PJ config, the J-P'up just give a rather dull sounding bass more life and much more definition.
15. Hadouken!
16. I'm really having thoughts about getting this installed on my Spector, purely because I know the bass has much more potential and even though the Spector Tone-Pump is very useable, I'd just like to have more control over the treble and mids as opposed to the 2 seperate volume controls and the treble and bass controls. Has anyone had experience with this pre-amp? Does it make a significant difference to the tone? Thanks All, Josh.
17.
Hi there. Is this front or rear ported?
Front ported Mike .
18.
I guess it's that nice phat R'n'B/Funk sound, but i'd still like that Jazz bass 'honk'!!!
So basically the Modern Gospel/Urban Funk tone with the classic growl? Well why not look into Ken Smiths/Roscoes/Sadowskys/MTD's/Skjolds? Or even another F-Bass Jamie?
19. It might be just me but for some reason I think it's got almost a kind of Miller slap tone to it.
20. Dwanye Wrights weapon of choice, amazing basses.
21.
Ahh Mudvayne (ryan martinie) Awsome!! Thats a georgeous bass you got there Josh, I hope you get what you want for it, was just wondering why you would want a thumb from 99 onwards & not 89? Al
The looks are quite different between the earlier Thumbs and the later ones, the earlier ones look to thin around the body and I really don't like the old truss rod cover font as well, they just look cheap, whereas the Thumbs I've prefered the looks of have always been the Thumbs of recent years.
22. Now that is a bargain right there.
23. Ohhh thought I'd add that I'd also be interested in a Warwick Thumb NT 4/5/6 (1999 - Present only) + Money, Mudvaynes new album is out soon so tis' the season for Thumbs .
24. Sweet song man, ummm the breakdown perhaps?
25.
Not really into selling it my friend?
I'm afraid not man .
