Right just had a look at the Yell and their are some places I had compeltely forgot about and can easily try and arrange something , but I need to know now that if I do find a place and what not, who would be 100% up for it because if there is a good number I'll happily undertake the task or organising such a thing or if someone would like to share the burden? Come on you toothless cider drinking yocals stick your paws up. Or if anyone from outside of the SW wants to come would be more than welcome.

Nope, I'd be there and willing to help sort it out though, I keep going through places in Brdigwater that I could ask, I know an owner of a few warehouses but of course the acoustics would be atrocious. But nonetheless I'd be happy to help muck in and get one in the pipeline, but then again isn't there only like 10 people who post who are from down these funny talkin' parts?

What I'm getting at is that alot of the slap playing we see is either clones attemtping to be someone their not, whereas examples of tasteful "Original" slapping aren't too common especially when compared to amount of Mark King clones/Flea clones/Wooten clones etc... who are taking up the stage when they could be earning more respect by sitting back and learning to refrain from bass acrobatics to get attention.

The HD350's and TD650's haven't got too much between them, if I couldn't of afforded my TD650 I would've gone for the HD350 no question. I run mine through 2 EBS Proline 2x10's and it is plenty loud enough for me when I turn it to 2, having the extra power really does come in handy.

Confused by what your trying to say man, the only Metallica albums with good/decent production are: Load, Re-Load and Garage Inc. and of course, Death Magnetic. The irony is the best ones they've made are the ones with the crappest mix...okay that dsoen't apply for St. Anger. Anyways for guitarists who slag us off, ah well let them have their fun, we usually walk away with more respect and our dignity.

Geddys tone isn't what I'd call the classic growl, it's much more of a overdriven crunch.

The easy answer is to favour the bridge pick up when you play, and regarding controls, well I don't know what bass you've got exactly man but the best thing for you to do would be to sit down with your bass and get 100% comfortable with your eq, and then when you are it is then a simple case of making sure the bridge pick up is louder than the neck pick up but make sure you haven't got too much treble rolled on and that there is enough bass pushing the mids across. Or as Jake said, save up for a Warwick Thumb bass

Like Bilbo, I'm not one for cover bands or tribute acts, but I stumbled across a few clips of these guys and I am actually genuinley impressed on every level: [u]Whats Going On:[/u] [u]I Wish:[/u] [u]Brickhouse:[/u] That bassist is right down my street and really brought a new feel to those songs IMO. I'd watch them. Oh and they're called The Phat Hat Band.

Still, threads like these can be discouraging more than encouraging. At least Argh isn't sugar coating the otherside of the truth.
