I actually went through GrooveShoppe, and they are saying about 10-12 months, and Mike gave a similar time too, though he mentioned that the Bass Gallery and some other American shops had basses on order with flexible options. While it's going to suck waiting that long, being brutally honest it's probably going to work out better financially for it to take that long
Definetly, man if you did live anywhere near to here you'd be welcome to try out my 635 to hear what that combo sounds like in person. Still, the next year is going to be a slow one for you, still an MTD build diary will be nice to see instead of Shukers all the time.
  2.
535, Ash body/walnut burl top, ash neck, birdseye maple neck, matching trussrod cover and headstock, 21 frets I'm so unbelievably excited
Did Mike give an estimated time?
  3.
Either way, just put the deposit down on that bad boy! Can't wait, been saving for so long
What've you finally gone for Ash?
  4.
again... I really hope anyone reading this knows that we are referring to a bass!
Still, offer me something I can't refuse John!
  5.
I'd watch it Josh... children have a habit of growing up and leaving home. As it happens I've sourced a couple likely candidates but unfortunately the bass that is the right colour is the wrong price and the bass that is the right price is the wrong colour...
Face it, you want mine badly don't you John?
Nice use of the major pentatonic mate, some nice licks in there, maybe just work on phrasing/timing a bit and you'll be even funkier! c
Thanks man Come Christmas, I should have my Boss RC-50 looper so that will help my phrasing quite a bit.
  7.
I hope this isn't a lewd reference to the kind of thing that they talk about in threads concerning Sarah5string!
Ahhh I'm not in the que for courting Sarah5string . It's a lwed refernce to one of your many "children" though.
  8.
Yes but what about the bass... Boom Boom!
I'll have one of yer Streamers!!
  9.
Sorry to dredge up an old thread (though I'm sure one or two folks won't mind )! Did anyone buy an amber/amberburst finish Spector in these various sales that is now wanting to move it on? I can do cash or a trade if you still need a bass. PM me any thoughts. Ta
Can I dangle mine over your head until you get one?
  10.
I think I just heard marcus bell having a seizure.
Ah he'll just keep playing Mr. Pink until he's happy again.

Just having a noodle over Ordinary People by John Legend, not the best qaulity at alll I know, and a few fluffs but ah well:
  12. Well it seems it's more likely going to be in Bristol, and unfortunately I'm not too familiar with the place to organise something. So really it's down to one of the Bristolians if this is going to happen.
  13.
So,now it's moved from Somerset to Bristol? It was 86 miles from Plymouth,now it's 127,I doubt I'll be coming now,and anyway,I wouldn't be welcome - I ONLY have B.C.Rich basses,11 of 'em
See why I'm now confused.
  14.
Can you book Hadrien Feraud to play??
I highly doubt it.
  15. As said, if I do finally get a concrete amount of names then I'll look into the venues much more in depth and if anything, I may do waht Nik did for the Se bash and go for the enarest Holiday Inn. which is in Taunton, so thats about an hour from Bristol. I'm getting a little lost now because we have to take into account people coming from past Devon and Dorset (maybe even Cornwall), Bristol may be a bit far out for them whereas Taunton/Bridgwater is a better middle point. But hey if someone wants to organise one in Bristol I'll be there nonetheless.
  16.
I defo don't think it should matter what gear everyone's got, as long as everyone comes along ready to chat sh!t and have a laugh, it'll be a helluva good day out! Once again, I'll be able to bring my penal extension of a Hartke stack, my 'Ray5, pedal board etc. if anyone wants a play?
Well it is one of the main draws of a Bass Bash but still having a good chat is also a healthy percentage of the whole thing as well. Of course someone will. I'm still trying to gauge how many people will 100% be able to make it before I even think about ringing up venues. Would 30 people be a healthy number? Also, I think I've pretty much thought about every thing I need to take in to consideration for this kind of box social: Parking Smoking Facilities Food Drink Plugs Decent Space Usage time Location Toilets Anything I've missed out?
  17.
does anyone know how big the DBM practice room is on gloucester road, bristol?
Kev, you know all, you tell us.
  18.
So when is this going to happen? 2009 at this point in time I would have thought.
Indeed, also on depending on the shcedule of which ever venue we end up choosing, but I'd say hopefully between Jan - Feb.
  19.
OOH! I'd be up for a jaunt to wot where them funny talkers be fram loike! COunt me in, gig/practices/work notwithstanding! ahh...the joys of living in the middle of the middle of the south of england!
I'll be the poshest one there mind you, I'll charge a £5 fine for any Someret stereotypes which are thrown about .
  20.
Eh?
B.C Rich's are mad, spikey, bizarre, intruiging basses, and he had a short holiday romance with qute alot of them.
  21.
Oh OK, thats ok then!
Nah he use to be mad about B.C. Rich's you see.
  22.
List? I thought you had done that already, although it transpires that you left out Shockwave. (how could you) ?
That was just a draft. How could I? Simple. He's not crazy anymore.
  23. Should we consider starting to make a list anytime soon or are we still trying to think who qualifies as a Wurzel?
  24. Are we that inbred we don't know anything about our part of England?
  25.
Can I suggest that if the venue is more Bristol way it opens the door to the Welsh - or maybe we need a bash of our own? Or maybe there could be a Wales and the West bash covering the South Wales, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Avon area which then would allow for the South West bash to be moved further South and/or West to make it more appealing to those in Cornwall/Devon. Though BassChat being what it is, I'm sure the welcome would be extended beyond boundaries.
There's no definites or anything yet, so I can't really say yay or nay.
