1. I've spent many an hour in PMT Brum playing (and I've owned a few) Sandbergs and their faultless. Bostin' basses!
2.
If it was a fretless, I would have ripped your arm off...
Then just rip the frets out! But seriously its a cracking bass at a great price. Lots of potential too by adding active preamps/pups etc.
3.
Hey big thump, what bass is that in your profile pic? Looks very similar to my Tanglewood Baron? P.s. good luck with the trade/sale!
Its the Streamer Stage 1. Theres probably some pics of it in the Warwick porn thread. Oh yeah, BUMP!
4. Love that colour! The serial number on the reverse of the headstock will tell you the year and month of manufacture. Good luck with the auction too.
5. My dream bass! Absolutely stunning. Good luck with the sale Greg although I'll doubt you'll need it.
6. I dont think I had ever seen a Warwick Thumb in the flesh before I got one off ebay for £750 a few years ago. I was always a bass I just knew I had to own, I'd been happily using Fenders and Stingrays for years. I had to drive a 300 mile round trip to pick it up and on seeing it was one of them moments you'll never forget. Daft innit? Its just a bloody bass! But I thought to myself, I've actually got one.
7.
I remember in a thread here I seemed to be pretty much the only person who thought it looked fantastic! Wish I could justify this, don't think you're going to see too many second hand!
I think it looks great.
8. Love this bass, I think its the colour. I'm strangely drawn to it which is odd as I dont even do fives!
9.
I bought my Stage I from '92 for 350€ incl. a tank-like flightcase in december. Great bass, great deal. I think today warwicks don't come even close to the quality of the old days, check out the picture I made this week in a local shop:
Oh dear What bass was it?
10.
It's a Warwick mate, it will be here in six f***ing months
Not if I just hadn't had to tax/MOT/insure the bloody car I'd love a fretless Warwick but times are hard...
11.
Wanted section at 8.57am, and here at 8.58am. Overkill?
Just a guy looking for a great bass!
12. I wish I could have attended again. Damn inconsiderate sods wanting to get married and selfishly booking my band to play on the Saturday night without me knowing....
13.
You're not in Cumbria are you? Sounds like you've tied in with our 'old' guitarist
Ha ha! I remember him!
14.
I'm seriously thinking about withdrawn this bass, cause everytime when i take this bass to my hands i'm feeling so good...
Lovely bass, you might regret parting with it!
15. I'm quite surprised that you'd want to part with something like this as its quite stunning and a bit different from most Warwicks.
16.
- I'm almost convincing myself not to part with it, hmmm?
Personally I think you're bonkers to part with it, you'll regret it! But I'm bias so I'm bound so say that plus I cant afford it!
17. What year is yours? Looks nice. And what price?
18. Go on, spoil us with some pictures of this lovely bass. What year is it? Are you interested in trades? Also a price is needed and I'm sure a lovely mod will move it to the correct forum.
19. That is absolutely stunning.
20. Failing that the Eminence 'Legend' 10" would be a good replacement. http://www.lean-business.co.uk/eshop/emine...003a8a2c2974e0d I've used lean before and they are pretty helpful.
21. Get the blown speaker repaired? http://www.wembleyloudspeaker.com/ I've sent a few drivers here to be sorted and its not too expensive.
22. Cheers for the cover Tony. First class!
23. Nice friendly guy to deal with
24. I think that there is a big difference to somebody 'busking' or fumbling their way through a song than putting a bassline down thats say 95% there but at least dose all the recognisable riffs, runs etc. I've played gigs in front of other guys in bands who have never noticed anything different or even my cockups!
