1. Yes, the Diago will power the POG2 absolutely fine. :-)
2. We have both in stock. We can do a special price to Basschat members, particularly on the PS-5. Give us a call, ask to speak to Richard, and mention this thread.
3. Dannybuoy is correct - if daisy-chained then the ACA pedals will work off a standard PSA-style daisy chain power supply at 9V provided there is at least one other (non-ACA) pedal also connected to the daisy chain. Confused?!! Actually, most ACA pedals will work fine off 9V DC regulated but there is a small handful that won't unless daisy-chained.
4. The answers above should give you everything you need. If you need to discuss anything further, feel free to give us a call or drop us an e-mail.
5. The Way Huge pedals can be very picky about what power supply is used and may require isolation. This can be achieved either through one of the more expensive brick-style power supplies or by using a Virtual Battery. If you need any further information, feel free to give us a call.
6. Take a look at EffectPowerSupplies.com. Feel free to give us a call to discuss options or for any advice.
7. I am pleased to confirm that, rather unexpectedly, we have just received the first shipment of the TS9B - they weren't due until June!!! First things first, it sounds great! We're selling them for £146 including free UK delivery which you should find to be very competitive. We are, however, offering a special Basschat discount to bring the price down to £140. Simply enter discount code 'basschat' at checkout for your discount. We've left this discount open until the end of March or while stocks last. Click here to place your order. Anyone local is welcome to come in and try the pedal out in-store. In other news.... we've also received our first shipment from Aguilar and now have the full range of pedals in stock.
8. We've got the Session 60 in stock. It's a great little amp which would be fine for acoustic gigs and, if you use the DI, could be used in almost any situation. As with anything EBS, it's got a really clean, clear sound. For the same price you could get a bigger, louder amp but I don't think you'll get the same quality elsewhere for the price. Here's a link to the website: http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/ebs-session-60-1224-p.asp Let me know if you need any more info. Richard
9.
I think the problem with EHX powering pedals mus have something to do with the mA needed to power them. My PSU is a 3000mA (or 3A if you prefer) that i got from evilbay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-STOMPBOX-8-3000m...=item3361769811 It always worked fine and the cable is very long. I recomend it to everybody
That's one of our own power supplies so I'm pleased to hear you're happy with it. I've not tried the BMS on it recently though a member of staff did demo the standard EHX Guitar Synth recently and they didn't know about the daisy chain issue and it worked fine. It could be that EHX have upgraded the pedal but I'll need to find time to test them to be sure. If anyone else is interested in the Stompbox 8 power supply, they're available direct from our website here: http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/stompbo...chain-696-p.asp
10. Yes, as had been said, the Virtual Battery is the way forward for the Blogger. And just to reiterate, it is only (from memory!) the Blogger, Bass Microsynth, Nano Clone and Nano Muff that cannot be daisy chained. The rest of the XO range is unaffected.
11. We have reserved most of the pedals from the first shipment. The price will be lower than that quoted above, however, there are some discrepancies in the 2011 trade price list and we are awaiting confirmation on the exact price of this pedal before we put it on the site. The first units are due to arrive in June and, judging by the reaction at NAMM, we expect to pre-sell most if not all of what we have coming in. If I get more news, I'll let you know.
12. Thanks for the comments Mart as well as the recommendation. D2TS - You won't be able to daisy chain your 9V DC with the Whammy pedal as that uses AC power. The Modtone Power Plant would power all of your pedals though is a fair bit more expensive than the other power supplies discussed here. The Dunlop DC Brick will not power the Whammy. It's a confusing subject so free to give us a call if you need some more detailed advice.
13. Most clean boosts stay relatively clean even at higher outputs. Some do colour the sound but overdrive is rare (unless pushing an amp into distortion). The one that springs to mind is the Way Huge Angry Troll that definitely goes into overdrive at higher settings. However, you may prefer to get a separate clean boost and overdrive pedal if that's what you're really after, particularly in a live situation so you don't have to adjust settings. If you're only after one sound from the pedal, then why not look at a low-gain overdrive instead of a clean boost? Or maybe the much-loved VT Bass?
14. The LMB-3 works far better on bass than the CS-3. And, despite its name, it's more of a compressor than a limiter. Others to consider are the BBE Opto Stomp, EBS Multicomp and Seymour Duncan Doubleback.
15.
the opposite of a compressor would be an expander...electro harmonix made one for bass called the 'steel leather'
Spot on. Technically the Steel Leather is the exact opposite of a compressor.
16. The Freeze is nothing like the DD-3's hold mode. The effect cannot be replicated by using a standard looper pedal. It is a unique pedal and drone is probably the best description. There are many Youtube video demos of it. They are selling like the proverbial hot cakes and EHX themselves keep running out of stock. We've currently got stock available if anyone wants to try one out.
17. Feel free to give us a call to discuss your requirements. We have a whole range of power supplies here: http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/power-supplies-8-c.asp Richard
18. On request we can get the Octavius Squeezer. However, as has been noted, it's a lot of money for a pedal and you may be able to achieve what you need at a lower price. Feel free to pop into the shop and try out some options. It's fairly easy to get close to Muse sounds but to replicate it exactly (which even the Octavius won't do) will cost many thousands!
19.
Ooh, could 'shortly' possibly mean 'this week'?
Hmmm.....not this week but hopefully this month.....
20. We'll have them in stock shortly. Feel free to pop in and try them out!
21.
hotrox.co.uk are doing them at £229 new which is the cheapest I've seen.
[clears throat...] You haven't been looking too hard then, have you?!! We're the same price as Hotrox yet we won't charge you anything for delivery!

pro co rat
buy a muff if you want heavily compressed fuzz
The RAT is a distortion rather than a fuzz pedal. It seems to be a love it or hate it pedal on bass. If you want to try it out, we've got them in stock (at very competitive prices ).
23. We have the VT Bass Deluxe in stock. Sound wise it's the same as the standard VT Bass. So you simply need to decide whether the presets, XLR, effects loop, dual inputs and parallel out are worth the upgrade.
24. We've got these in stock. I think it's a great pedal. Can get very synthy and will do Chris Wolstenholme sounds all day long (as well as a lot more). I agree that the Youtube video does not show the pedal in its best light. It's a lot of fun...
25. Sorry for the Johnny-come-lately reply but we've got an ex-display Ibanez Promethean 1x10" cabinet in stock which we could do a bit of a deal on for a Basschatter. It's got one tiny mark on the top front edge, that's all. We can also supply brand new and boxed if required.
