  1. Hi folks For sale is this Line6 wireless system. Dead easy to set up, in good condition and and all working fine. I tend to use it for sound checking mostly and revert to fall cable for the gig (just in case). Battery life for the transmitter is about 50mins for me. I don't have the original box/paperwork I'm afraid. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking
  2. Although didn't he say that he made his finest Post-It notes later on in his career?
  3. Do you not mean the Pete Wentz SBMM passive Stingray?
  4. I'm only now beginning to realise what a lucky escape I have just had.
  5. No sorry, but give me a few minutes...
  6. I'm really not sure. The have black silks, but only at the tuner end. All the ball-ends are gold coloured.
  7. Great idea @ped, I will adopt forthwith.
  8. Pssst, want to buy some post-it notes. VGC, one careful owner...
  9. Yeah, I have done the string cleaning thing already. They are in pretty decent condition so highly tempted to leave them on the bass.
  10. I have just acquired a lovely P bass from a member on here with, let's say, some well used 11-year old flats. No need for string muting now. Just for a bit of fun what's my next action....
  11. Just acquired an excellent P bass from Liam. A real pleasure to deal with and a genuine BC top banana. Also a superb bassist btw.
  12. Probably my ACG fretless bass. Not for every situation, but it's such a great bass.
  13. These are really good basses and much overlooked.
  14. Are the Sandberg casings not the same as Delano?
  15. My first bass was a Squier Affinity P bass, and I think I have pretty much always had one knocking about (especially for recording). As I glance to my left, there on my "grab-it-for-a-quick-noodle" stand is my black MIM P bass.
  16. Well I've not ordered anything yet. As you say all seems good electronically and I'm going to give the bass several more practices and maybe a gig or two before I decide.
  17. Nice! Looks like the burst has been done nicely with some sensitivity.
  18. Just a heads-up for any owners thinking about mods, I measured up the pickguard last night and it appears that this is not a std J bass item, so looks like I'll need to get one cut specially.
  19. There's a BC member @KiOgon who does very high quality looms for a very decent price. One thing I have not checked yet is the hole diameters in the bell plate to make sure I get the right pots rather than having to do filing. p.s. I think that we need to see a pic now
  20. Clearly photos will be required plus another opinion on the bass
  21. Ooof, that looks mega @eude very happy for you.
  22. It does somewhat, but thankfully considerably cheaper
  23. Hi folks I have always loved the look of Gibson EBs, possibly/probably influenced by some of my favourite bassists using them, but I have been able to find 'that' bass. Not easy to find a luthier who offers them either, however I noticed a build by Alex at AGH and asked him if he would make me something similar and here we are. Specs in brief are: Rosewood top over a 5-pc maple wenge neck through with cherry wings, 32" medium scale. Lower horn shaped to suit me so somewhat asymmetrical. Artec Mudbucker with series parallel switch and a Thunderbird style bridge pickup. V/V/T controls. Gotoh and BadAss harware (mostly because they were in my spares drawer). Sounds mega!

    Sire V5

I took a punt on one of these at a bit over £300. Fantastic Jazz bass imho:
  25. Just relieved Mike of the burden of ownership of some cables. Flawless transaction from start to finish. Many thanks.
