  1. Very nice looking passive VS4 at Bass Direct for a not too silly price. My trigger finger has been itching. https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sandberg_VS4_Satin_Black.html
  2. An OBP-2 has just appeared for sale in the Accessories thread...
  3. I normally get a better price from Mark at Classic & Cool than the configurator produces.
  4. This is my old first gen VS4 passive. Sadly moved on now, but I keep a look out.....
  5. The Euro4 RST models I think have Aguilar Super Double p/ups and an OBP-2 and they sound very Spectory to me. Might be an option to consider?
  6. I'm hoping to go and check out Beaux Gris in Poynton in April to see what they are like live.
  7. Lovely basses, I had one as my first proper fretless bass a while back. GLWTS.
  8. Thanks, that seems to be the bit I was looking for.
  9. I looked on Amazon and couldn't see a way to buy it, where should I look?
  10. Very nice indeed. Would buy a copy were it for sale.
  11. Nice work. However I think that for the full Geddy P a Badass II or similar will be required.
  12. Could find an existing thread so have started one up. Just acquired a lovely ACG from Jason. Great transaction, very good comms and fast delivery. Highly recommended people, deal in confidence.
  13. Simple passive V/T set up on this Letts bass. IIRC this was slightly closer to the bridge than a P bass. I'd also like to hear what a Sandberg Central would sound like in fretless form. It's a bit like a Stingray but the pickup is more towards the neck.
  14. Paul just acquired some strings from me. Pretty much the perfect transaction, great comms & quick payment. Much appreciated and thanks again.
  15. That's quite a niche comparison. I've owned a VM and a Darkhawk (a bit like a VM2) and TT4s so not quite the same. Current 'stock is a TT4 and a Central which are more than welcome to come and try if you like to compare to your bass. I see you're Cumbria but that's a large footprint. I'm in Chorley (near Preston).
  16. Just acquired a pickup from S'manth. The perfect transaction, deal in confidence folks.
  17. Will has sold a few of my basses that were very much not in the 4-figure price bracket (sub £500) so I wouldn't be too concerned about that. They both received exactly the same treatment as the cool expensive stuff, as in excellent service.
  18. I use my preferred D'Addario EXL170BTs (long scale for 34") quite happily on my medium scale (32" ) bass. No issues at all.
  19. Just acquired a bass from Gerry. Top bloke, he took the trouble to drive down to meet up for a handover. Well above and beyond the call of duty. Had a good chat too. One of the best.
  20. Nice. Just out of interest what lead time have you been quoted?
  21. Hi folks Any of you good people able to help in getting a bass from Glasgow down to me (Preston are). More than happy to meet somewhere convenient but haven't got the faith in trains to get up and back from Glasgow atm. The seller is unwilling to ship. Please PM me if you think you could help. Happy to cover some fuel costs etc.
  22. I can second this, Mark at Classic and Cool is excellent to deal with.
