1. Looks really smart - best of luck!
2. Look on the dark side too - if you buy 2nd hand from here, you can probably deal down a wee bit and if it does not work out or you want to upgrade, get your money nearly all back in the future. After your initial investment, it's like renting a bass on here with some of the swaps! If you are spending anything up to £200, the Yamaha BB, Squire CV or VM or Ibanez is a no-brainer.
3. The OP has described his item perfectly and illustrated it with accurate pictures. I f I bought this I would be in no doubt as to what I was getting and I don't understand the semantics of 'ding' (sounds cute!), or blemish (genetic?). Good honest advert.
4. Great find Andy - cheers!
5. Read the BGM article and the NO 1 bass of Geddy has him dissing it about bad it is!
6. 2009 according to the vid! Thought he was on Foderas?
7. Me! Socialists of the bass world unite!
8. Cheers Tommo!

10.
#1 Any Dingwall. #2 Sandberg JJ #3 Warwick Thumb. #4 ACG Recurve. #5 (a good example of a) Westfield P copy.
In a way I've played 4/5 of those! 7 strings Dingwall - very interesting and I'd love to explore one at high volume and for a few months. Played a Sandberg basic Ken Taylor and I was mightily impressed. Had a Warwick Streamer and although it was quality it didn't resonate with me! ACG - nope! Westfield P bass - aye - my school has plenty of these and they're great!

Avoid.....don't snog and never marry!
12. Even split but include a similar fraction for management duties. eg 4 man band - 1/5th each plus 1/5th towards other expenses or a wee pot.
13. The Dry Cleaner from Des Moines Live by Joni and Jaco The Raven - Stranglers Get Ready - Stax Song - so obvious! Feck - forgot Sir Duke, Do I Do and I Wish by NL Watts and Stevie Wonder....
14. 1. Paul McCartney's Hofner 2. James Jamerson's P-bass 3. Jaco's 4. Geddy Lee's Jazz 5. JJ Burnel's P-bass
15. New pics please! That's a real cracker of a bass!
16. It's nice to show gratitude.
17. Initially found this site by accident as I was taking up bass again. Sold a Squier I'd had as a seed fund towards another bass. Bought 2 basses and an amp since from here. Sold both basses at a small loss after improving them to make sure I shifted them on. Look upon it as a 2 month rental or trial period that I would not get at a shop. Still got the amp and have got rid of my craving for a named bass (for now) to gleefully bash my Yamaha BB! I was very cagey over my first sale as I struggled with the trust concept after ebay experiences. Couldn't believe it when the buyer sent cash in a recorded delivery bag! Good site I visit at least 5 times a week if I can to drool over the basses of others. Met 7string too - great guy. Had really good advice from one of those you might suspect of being active commercially but I have never felt as stupid as to buy anything above the odds! Wish I was a commercial trader of basses!
18. Got a black sparkle version with matching headstock and they are cracking basses! Prefer this one strangely enough!

Yamaha BBs

I have the black flake matching headstock BB414 although I would prefer the orange one! Really solid basses and more consistent and versatile than the equivalent fenders.
20. Good stuff mate - all good but I do love Firth of Fifth! I s that Pino Palladino........on lead guitar?
21. That is an ideal piece of wood!
22. Absolute stormer of a bass!
