2. This has come up before and I can't remember if anyone could suggest anything other than the British Audio Service website: here Trouble is there's a min $15.00 order...
3.
Bear in mind Ashdown's reputation for reliability isn't much better than Behringer.
For their MAG amplifiers yes, for a while it was bad but not for their cabs (unless I've been hiding under a bigger rock than I thought? )
4. If you can buy something second hand on here instead, you'll get more for your money
5. Easy: Status Retroactive Bass with Status Hotwires -> either of my Trace V-Type rigs. Yum Currently the bass is strung with DR Black Beauties and it's still damn fine, but I think I prefer the Hotwires that were originally on it
6.
Bizarrely I can report that the load in/out situation for the Travelodge is pretty good, as we actually played a wedding gig there last year
Travelodge? This is at the Holiday Inn
7. Yes there is a safety cut out for thermal and short circuit I believe. Same thing happened on my V-Type 4x8 combo (probably the same power amp board), switched it back on a few minutes later and it was fine.
8.
Can I ask what the parking situation will be like? How far between the car park and the booked rooms? Do we have any stairs to contend with? Thank you.
Parking should be fine - 220 spaces Distacne between car park and rooms? No idea, sorry. It's on 3 floors so don't know where hte function rooms are but for accessibility the MUST have lifts if necessary!
9.
The man that made my basses started importing EBS gear because he found it was the best for what you are trying to do - not a cheap option though.
I guess that's why Status sound so good with TE gear, as Rob still has a Mk4 or 5 4x10 combo he uses to test everything
10.
I must admit when i first read this post, I thought the band Extreme were reforming for Reading Festival. Thank Christ they're not, eh?
But they are reforming for a new album and tour
11. Dude, was just trying to help There's no link to your music, have absolutley NO IDEA who you are or what you play!! Lighten up EDIT: rjb - I suppose I should learn to read between the lines
12. Having bumped in bassbloke at Chessington World of Adventures (yep!) on Saturday he said he was hoping to come along, but you may wish he confirm himself
13. Some indication of what you think "Great Style" is would be helpful, plus maybes a link to some music coz it ain't clear what you play? Cheers!
14.
Are they the Schaller JBX type? Just had a quick look, I like the adjustable pole option, like Dimarzio.
To be honest, no idea. I bought them in 1997 or so... They don't have adjustable polepieces tho and look more like the JB6 pickups with the chunky polepieces. But they aren't humbuckers. Argh. Maybe I've jsut confused the matter - get Wizards!!
15. I've always been astounded at the enormous volume I get out of the Schallers in my J copy. It is a passive bass which has a hotter output than all my active basses excpet my fretless Groove... Not as commonly named as a choice PUP but bloody loud!
16. Steve, that is gorgeous!
17.
Traitor !!!
Aye! I've been told I'm actually, really, right handed as I do everything right handed except write. I'm an oddball
18.
Am I going to be the only left handed person there ? So many pretty things to play but my hands are all back-to-front

1 in 10 people are left handed, so statistically speaking there's bound to be at least another one in that list.
I'm left handed But I play right handed.
19. It's a cracking price, if I had the cash I'd be 'aving it. But I haven't
20. Still waiting on Phil Mulford, will try calling him later. I'll bring the Groove as well Nik
21. Just confirmed the small details with the Holiday Inn. This is in the Clandon Suites 1 & 2, which are next to each other with a partition/door between. There is of course a bar for drinks
22.
See now I have this belief that there's a lot of bassists missing out on what a really good 15" can do on its own. People equate 'punch' with 10" speakers probably because most of the 15"s they hear are the terrible ones in cheap combos. I shall bring a couple of my cabs to the SE Bass Bash and see if I'm not alone in my enjoyment of that big speaker goodness. Alex
My TE 1x15 V-Type combo has a hell of a lot of punch, but that's probably due to the Eminince driver being in an almost perfectly tuned tiny cabinet for it. Apparently. According to the Eminence specs and Win ISD. Not so sure myself but it sounds good
23. Er, I'll be there I'll bring my Status Retroactive Bass and my TE V-Type 8x8 rig
24. I like passive and active basses, no preference really. And I like hybrid amps. I am therefore the greyist fence-sitter ever
25.

Dribble. That looks amazing
