1.
Anyhoo, Merton has been a propper gent waiting for me to put this one together. During the course of building this, alot has gone on, but Im glad Im now getting more time to spend in the workshop.
Hey, I am happy to wait as long as it takes, like you say there's been a lot going on for you over the last year so it's cool. But, I need it for two gigs tomorrow if that's ok?
2. You're both pedants!! Hehe. I've only ever been to Colchester 4 times - thrice to visit Rob and Dawn etc at Status and once with my then (witch of a) girlfriend to walk around and get moaned at - so i haven't actually got a clue
3. Not quite - the other TE 1x15 is a 1518 model hence different (bigger in all aspects). But £110 for yours is definitely a good price, these are great great cabs IMHO, I miss mine!
4. Dry joint maybe?
5.
With respect Merton no he doesn't. He's a Merseaite and there's a whole world of difference believe me. I err.... grew up with his Mum (who's actually 3 or 4 yrs younger than me)
Pedant
6.
Has the problem with cutting out on the Nemi happened to you?
Nope But two gigs tomorrow so I'm sure I can make it a first time soon TBH I run the input section a couple of notches down from the clip light even blinking just to be safe, seems to have worked so far!
7. Cracking octaver, still my favourite 8ve pedal
8. I didn't in the end, few issues with new house and of course the Bright Box saga... Still want one at some point tho. How does it compare to the Nemesis tonally and powerwise?
9. The main body all glued and dry, waiting for the top And a close up of the go faster stripes:
10.
Just for the record - the amp in the pics is a Trace Elliot BLX 150 SMC. This was the last of the BLX models to be made, previous ones being the 80 and 130 models. By the time your amp was made Trace were just putting their GP7 SM 150 watt heads into the remaining BLX cabinets before discontinuing them. As you rightly state, these heads did have more features than previous models in the BLX range, due to them using their upgraded amplifier heads in these. Trace also stopped putting BLX badges on them too, hence the confusion. Nice amp, good luck with your sale. Pete.
That's what i was trying to say, only far better put
11. Chill out dude, was just asking! (edit - though it does seem you are misinterpreting the specs printed. And even if it doesn't say BLX, it is the last version of the BLX, a 150W @ 4 ohms amp. NOthing bad about this, they are fine amps in my opinion, always wnated one!)
12. Bit confused - you say it's not a BLX but the photo shows a BLX combo?? Also, the power output of your amp head is 150W RMS into 4 ohms, 300W peak. Just sayin' so people don't get confused All nice gear
13.
Thanks Alex. It'd be good with the F1 then.
Dave, you can borrow my Vintage on 3rd/4th July if you want?
14. Pics pics pics, I love these basses and really regret selling mine. Talk to me!
15. For anyone who needs to know, Chris is a top bloke to deal with - good luck with the sale dude
16. Sounds to me like you've changed the wrong fuse. Have you changed the one in the mains lead or the amp? It's the amp fuse you should be changing...
17. I may well have been far too hasty in getting antsy about this but I am still yet to receive any communication to tell me what's going on. Public apology to Graham for yesterday's email, it was hasty and uncalled for as I still don't know what's going on, however I really would like an update. It's ot unreasonable to ask for some communication when I've spent two weeks waiting for an item I have paid for immediately up front, is it?
18.
The LH500 is very very loud , and you need really good cab(s) to cope with it when its in full swing, if you hear any distortion at all its time to back the amp off a good bit!
Hell yes. When I owned an LH500 (great amp, miss it but it didn't sit right in the band mix for the rest of the guys sadly ) it only ever sounded really alive when going through a Barefaced cab. Plux's Bergs I can imagine being equally impressive. A MAG410T.... not necessarily so I'm afraid (IMVHO!!)
19. Other way round- metal grille first then your one. This came out about 1996 iirc then your version around 1998 i think
20.
I bought a Boss LS-2 pedal off this guy last month, and although communication was poor and it did take awhile to arrive, I got it eventually. Good luck with your purchase.

That sounds positive! Light at the end of the tunnel perhaps...
Oooooh, indeed a potentially good thing. We'll see. Let's hope I will be eating humble pie before too long.
21.
Has the basschatter ignored you completely? How odd...
Absoultely 100% lack of reply to anything since last week (Apr 28th). I've asked nicely for further details of where my Bright Box (if it exists) is, and now I've resorted to being quite rude to him. As I've said before, I'd like to think there is some terrible misunderstanding somewhere and this will all pan out OK, and if that's the case I'll have a lot of humble pie to eat which I will gladly do as I'll have the Bright Box. However it seems that won't happen.
22. Got the bank involved, hopefully I'll get my money back at least.
23.
The cab in the photos in mine! Woo-hoo! Should be here monday, cant wait!
You lucky git
24. Lee, to add to what Toasted said, no-one's blaming anything on you and thank you so much for your help. I will get this sorted somehow, for me and soysuperbien!
