1. This amp is awesome, the tubes really sing and the OD "channel" is much sweeter sounding than the MB500 IMHO. Bargain for someone
2. This is a great sounding cab, cannot believe it's still here!
3. Nice little review, let us know how you get on
4. Swapped the MB 500 for an MB Fusion, very happy I did so,this rig is phenomenal! The MB200 was powering our drummer's monitor, long story...
5. Someone snap this up, great little amp and a lot more "pokey" than the 200W would suggest IMHO
6. PS I have just swapped an Eden WT550 for the GK MB Fusion so can totally see where you're coming from hence my recommendation!
7.
never tried one tbh I was always under the impression GK was more in the smooth clear and crisp tone bracket
Not at all. Totally in your face and aggressive if you want it to be and they both have Boost "channels" for grit.
8. Gallien Krueger MB500 or MB Fusion would probably do nicely
9.
That's pretty impressive. When I ran your MB200 through my Compact/Midget stack, the results were very good ... but actually persuaded me to buy an MB500 instead. That Super 12 must be quite astonishing.
To be fair it was when I was using chorus that it got REALLY silly. I liked it
10. I destroyed my band the other night with my MB200 thru my newly acquired Super 12. Amazing cab, just like 51m0n says. Hey, Simon says buy Barefaced...
11. Mine's just arrived, gutted I didn't wait a few days for this but there you go
12. Great little amps, good luck with the sale
13. Dave, I've just pulled the trigger on the MB Fusion...... Just to confuse you perhaps further It should arrive tomorrow
14. I gig an MB200 regularly with a Barefaced Vintage (formerly) or now a Super12. Seems to have enough power for me but I also have the MB Fusion incoming coz I want vaaaaaalves!
15. Sold a GK MB500 to Pete, absolute pleasure to do business with you and would gladly do so again! Enjoy the amp
16.
Sometimes get confused with knives and forks.
Me too. Weird, innit?
17. Bugger, I want to buy an MB Fusion at the mo. if you change your mind and want to sell, hit me up
18. Sounds similar to a problem I had with an old Trace V-Type combo, weird earth design on the preamp fixed by adding another cap on the supply rail or something. They're very similar preamps, maybe the same issue?
19. I am left handed for writing but right handed for everything else, kinda ambidextrous but not quite!
20.

This. Impeccable taste sir
21. Yes the Compact will have enough grunt, whatever that is I have an S12 (and prior to that had a Barefaced Vintage) and they are monstrous sounding cabs
22. Great rock player! Not heard the album but I can bet it sounds great. 5 strings rock, buy one
23. Eden on hold, GK sold
24. Needs to move to the For Sale section
25.
I'm sure I read somewhere, that cabs can also be wired such that the linking of two together is in series and not a parallel. How would you know? There is nothing on the cabs to state what kind of wiring has been used for the link socket.
For all amps and cabs assume parallel wiring unless stated (some Eden Nemesis gear, for example, has an internal speaker and an external speaker socket wired in series). Series wiring won't cause any problems to a solid state amp, as you'll be increasing the impedance load seen by the amp rather than decreasing it.
