1. [sup]BOught it last night, stuck it on in the car this morning, loving what I've heard so far! Cheers for the heads up [/sup]
2. Oooh, will go buy it now....
3. It's part of the package we provide - band and DJ. So, er, yes!
4. Do you want to cause a Richter 10 earthquake in Britain??
5.
Something like a 5-string P ... P/MM pickup config would be ideal, simple P or P/J could work for me too. EDIT: I think it would probably need to be P/MM to persuade me to trade that Eclipse now.
Nothing I have then! This is both good and bad...
6.
Well said bluejay. Completely agree.
+2
7. Si is a gent to deal with, and I can vouch for the Vintage - it was one of the first 3 ever made and is a cracking cab, the only reason I downsized was I needed to fit the cab in the boot of my car and the Vintage didn't!
8. Great day out, thanks again to bluejay for holding the BC torch all weekend Was great to catch up with a few people who I haven't seen for ages and I managed to get Faye to play a few nice basses too She'll be on here soon, I will make sure of that.... Basses of the day for me were the Statii (of course) and ACGs, especially Status's gorgeous red S2 Classic with faux binding and Alan's bubinga Graft 4 (I think???) That one has really got me thinking about a new toy.... Nate Watts was awesome, as were all three teenagers brave enough to stand and play i front of everyone. I'd sh*t myself in the same situation
9.
I took that photo with the intention of posting it for trade ... but having played with it again I'm not sure I want to do that.
Trade for what...?
10. Ooooohweeeeeeee I can't wait til tomorrow!
11. Stop posting pics of that utterly stunning Eclipse please!!!
12.
Gutted I'm there different days!
D'oh, haven't seen you in YEARS! Hope all is delightful
13. Good call - a dead cheap way of finding out if it works the way I want. £21 on Amazon! Cheers
14. Ah, the VFE Bumblebee and Bumblebee Jr look good. None in the UK that I can find though, haha!
15. Ah the Boss Slow Gear, that's the fella! Yes maybe the microsynth is a bit much for the one effect. Anyone want to build me one, or know anyone who might...?
16. I'm sure I've seen a pedal which does this but can't remember what it is... Basically want to combine it with a synthy/fuzzy effect to remove the attack from the notes. If there is one, can you change the length of the swell? Think of it as an auto volume pedal....
17. Good work organising this! I look forward to meeting a lot of you and hopefully seeing some familiar faces
18. Oooh, gonna be there on the Sunday with my lovely friend and colleague Faye (not a member on here... yet....) See some of you there
19.
Still does, bringing out an album every few years, including Eight last year.
Oooh good, another NK album to buy! Cheers To Be Frank is one of my favourite albums, period.
20.
Both appalling bands imho. I would say Bon Jovi are better purely on the strength of the fact that they did the soundtrack to Young Guns 2 .
Not true. Jon Bongiovi did it, not the band. Technicality (yes I'm a pedant....)
21. Bought one of Marco's Eden 1x12 cabs. Honestly you couldn't ask for a more impeccable service from anyone. Excellent communication from the beginning, tracking number given to me when shipped and even then Marco tracked it to the point of sending an email telling me it was out for delivery. Brilliant. Can't wait to try the cab, it looks even better in flesh than it did in the photos.
22. Or this: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/200140-trace-elliot-1528-2x15-flightcased-l150/page__pid__1983667#entry1983667
23. Barefaced Super15. The head is almost as big as an S12, but the S15 would be awesome. Great sounding cab.
24. A Lep live gig these days is super slick, very well produced show with all the vocals and notes perfectly practiced to within an inch of their life. I did eel they have lost a bit of soul live, the best gig I saw them do (I have seen 7...) was Broxton Academy in 2003, they seem to have lost their sparkle since going back to arenas. Never seen Bon Jovi but I imagine it's a similar prospect. Neither band will ever write another inspiring song I imagine, and I find that hard to write as I grew up with Lep.
25. I like both That said Bon Jovi only did three good albums and Def Leppard's best output was in 1981 or 1996 depending on what mood I'm in. (Neither album is one of the famous ones)
