Bit late to the party here, but I'm going with High'n'Dry, from Def Lep before they went pop. My favourite of their records.

The whole thing is dull. People who defend get called fanbois, people who don't like them feel they're attacked when they put across their (sometimes ill informed) view. Boring. Let's talk about something else. Quite why I posted today I don't know but if you ever see me post in a Barefaced thread again please shoot me. EDIT: if we all liked the same things the world would be dull. I'm all for people having their views and frankly welcome reasonable debate about anything, as long as it's based on experience and fact it's all lovely

Not really, just pointing out shortcomings in an argument is all If people don't like the cabs it is absolutley fine but, as with any product, tarring current models with the same brush as previous models is a bit daft. I would expect people would be [i]crucified[/i] if they said they hated Fender because in 1982 they played a particularly sh*t one and haven't played anything by them since...

DarkLord - all you have said is the quality of your 5 year old cab wasn't up to scratch and it felt like it was built by a man in a shed. It was. The new cabs are in a different league, so to comment on current quality, when you haven't seen them, is crass ,IMO

Surely just a simple "I have tried a few and didn't like their core tone"? Edit; I guess the closest is "Meh. I'm fine with others liking them, but - having tried them - they are not for me." Edit edit; of course anyone who thinks that is completely wrong, a total w***er, and must burn in the fires of Mount Doom for eternity

[/quote] Handles is a non issue IMO, I have had it with all cans which use those handles. And they have been addressed on the Gen 3 cabs. Dodgy feet has been fixed with Gen 3. Aesthetics is entirely personal opinion and quite dull to keep having the same argument. Foam exploding is a bit of a concern though, and I'd want to have a look inside to see what's going on Let's not degenerate into another BF lovers vs haters thread

There are a lot of people who like them and a lot more who don't, the lack of tweeter means it doesn't sit "right" for everyone.
