1. I have the MB115 and bought it for small gigs and practice/jam sessions. Really good amp for the money and very, very light! Recommended.
2.
"What’s that Mr. Promoter; you want me to supply my backline for the other bands? …..Oh bugger, all of a sudden I won't be able to get my amp to the venue, I'll be using my SansAmp DI thingy-ma-jig instead and going straight to the desk. Sorry, but at least your sound man will be happy!" - That's pretty much my response.
+1 lol. That being said, a lot of times I've showed up to a venue, the headlining band insist I use their rig to aid change over times, soundguy etc. This is when I've bought my amp - they could have told me before the gig.
3.
I think I might've missed the boat with this one, but most bass players are happy to play covers because most bass players are not composers, and therefore have no particular personal investment in the music they are playing. Jon.
The band I'm in now I write and compose all the music.
4. I've got an original EHX Q-Tron so I'd go for one of them.
5. Or you could use Dunlop strap locks which are the best around.
6. Can I confirm the user suspended was/is a second account?
7.
Fieldy.
I'd like to see you play Got The Life!
8. Congrats mate, a friend of mine played some of your stuff to me about a year ago and I really liked it.
9. I must be the only person who borrows amps at gigs then and I play with an Epifani/BFM set-up! The reason there is amp sharing is because: a ) Only 1 band usually needs to soundcheck b ) It saves time loading in, so there isn't 5,000 amps on stage which all need soundchecking, also more stage space c ) It saves time between bands going off stage and coming on, no amp moving, taking equipment off stage etc.
10. I have a PS600 which is the same head without a few small features. I love this amp, every note is clear and punchy but at the same time it also provides a lot of clean power and the bass cuts through so easily. I traded my TC Classic for it, thats how good it is.
11. Lightest bass I have ever played is an Iceni Zoot which is mine . A bit costly if you had one made but you see them crop up secondhand sometimes. BTW its swamp ash on the front and maple on the back. 2.5kg!
