agreed - i'm interested in this, but the thing I love about my BB preamp is the 2 band EQ (same reason I like the SFT)... I still don't see the point in this obsession with blend controls with dirt pedals, there is certainly no need for one on the BB or the SFT... and I don't miss one on my grey stache.

Big +1.
I don't understand the obession either - having a bass control fixes any problems with low end loss when engaged. The other thing with a blend is that the effect usually has to be way up before it becomes audible...
EDIT: Especially in a band mix!
Don't know if this is the correct forum...
I have a spare ticket for Deftones at the Birmingham O2 Academy on Tuesday 19th Feb. Think this is now sold out as well.
£25 sent via 1st class recorded delivery.

It says XLR out on the left hand side, surely it does? Only thing it doesn't have is the blend control and bite button.

Whoops, my bad!
Finally got to A-B the BBM and DBBM last week. The DBBM was nice with a lot of choices tone wise but IMO it wasn't worth blowing an extra £90 on a pedal I already have that sounds the same bar no blending options.
Jeez, it's just a band audition. What next? Wash behind your ears, put on a fresh bra etc...
Turn up on time, play to the best of your ability, if they like you, go for it - if not then stuff 'em!
Oh God, a bass player who is known and has been in successful bands - I would much prefer an unknown who has done a session with Miles playing reggae in 11/8 timing.
[quote name='LukeFRC' timestamp='1357864200' post='1929904']I do, I've bought quite a few things "to try" knowing that I won't make much loss on them if it doesn't work out.

Why buy it then if you know you're not going to keep it? I go to my local music shop "to try" stuff out.

For some people, resale value is a major consideration. A used Fender will usually command a higher price second hand than any handmade one-off. There is also the (very long term!) potential for appreciation. Not that I'm bothered about such things, but some people are.

Yeah for sure, though I don't buy a bass with regards to how much I will get for it when I sell it.
