20.
Here's a pair of matching P basses I my possession. The one on the left is a Mongrel US p Bass (1987 body, 2008 neck and various bits in between). It's been my main gigging bass for years and was a 1987 when I bought it. The neck basically died a few year a back so it was replaced with a 2008 US Standard neck (and bridge). The one on the right is a Fender Tony Franklin fretless P Bass and it is simply wonderful The last picture has my US Fender Jazz in the middle. It's a 2000 model and has Wizard 64 pickups installed. I gigged with it last Saturday and had more comments about my tone than probably all my previous gigs combined!
I have bad gas at the moment for a stack knob jazz, I have not had the chance to play one yet , is the tone good ?
 21. I don't like that particular display example but I do own vintage guitar picks. I would buy some kind of display (if I found something I like) to show of my fav pics
 22. Lovely !!! Is that the Trb5pii babinga top?
 23.
To my knowledge, that's a reasonable price in the UK. There's hardly any over here, and when they turn up, they command serious dosh. Blonde is also the rarest of all the finishes on these, even as worn as this example, probably a large handful in existence still. Top gear fetches top prices. Andy knows the market better than anyone, and will price accordingly. As has been mentioned, the commission pieces will often have the buyer state the price, although if he thinks they are asking too much, he'll decline to sell it......its his reputation, and his shop after all. Unlike many 'dealers', Andy has consistently shifted gear, particularly over the past 2-3 years, when the economy has suffered. Some of the rarest stuff seen recently in the UK, has passed through Andys hands, and I for one, have enjoyed spending time at his studio noodling around on many of them. Big price?, yes, without doubt, worth it? depends how bad you want one I guess. It's worth what someone will pay for it, and I don't doubt for a second that it will sell for close to this price.
Very well written Rick. Andy's basses do seam to sell quicker that other dealers, I guess Andy's prices can't be far off. Andy Is a great guy to deal with. P.s , if I had the cash I would love to own that stack jazz
