1. If you do it is a throwback to some of the 70's stuff Fender made, the Geddy lee has a middle screw as well, it is basically for looks nowadays. Originally it was there to hold the plate, the plastic could warp and twist over time and without the middle screw it could buckle of pull inwards cracking itself around the edges.

Blurb from Fender - Guitarist Jim Root shreds in Slipknot and Stone Sour, and he collaborated with Fender® on a huge-sounding signature Telecaster® guitar that complements his heavy playing style. The Jim Root Telecaster features a mahogany body, maple neck with 12"-radius maple or ebony fretboard with jumbo frets, active EMG® pickups, string-through-body hard-tail bridge, black hardware and flat finish options. Video (this is him playing the guitar)- https://www.youtube....h?v=Ut7d6I4_dmc Although it is in France I can get it shipped to the UK for free so you would only need to pay shipping from me (Kent) to you not from France all the way. 16. It's funny these ate getting so much praise. When they first dumped the sub range the industry whispers were the quality was too good and they were taking sales from full fat MM basses. Now the relaunch the brand, even cheaper and people say the same!!

 19. This is a bloody steal. What a bass, might be worth sticking it up on the official WW forum?
 20. Just some clarification on this. An FSR is a factory special run. The FSR tag is put onto a special/limited edition run from Fender. In this case an American special P bass in hand stained Honey burst. Sometimes FSR instruments are in non-standard finishes, others have different pickups or what have you. Basically they are limited quantity instruments with spec's not normally available. I believe a fair few BCers have the American standard basses which were made in hand stained finishes earlier this year, Wine and black I think they were. As this is a USA special it comes with a gig bag not a hardcase.
