New cab is here! I got a Genz Benz GB410 XB2 which is quite an old model now discontinued but brand spanking new in the box for a silly price. It's an ugly old beast but bomb-proof, rated at 700W and 4-ohm which is just what I was looking for! Photo! Just snapped this of it sat in my boot! She is a big old girl! And to buy one of his legendary instruments.

I like the blue, the abalone binding it a bit much for me though!

Finally got my acoustic bass GAS sorted thanks to Wildus. Using his pics but only because I don't have access to a camera at the moment! It's a Tanglewood, I have never seen one like it to be honest, Korean made, bowlback and a bit of a blingy top for my tastes but it does everything I want in an acoustic. It weighs nothing, the neck is lovely and it is very loud unplugged! Perfection. I have said it a million times but Tigerstripe ebony fingerboards are Warwicks biggest bargain. Even the Rockbass models come with it on the Fretless models. All Tigerstripe means is that the wood does not come solely from the core of the tree, where it is completely black, they use more of the wood from a little further out which means some parts have dark brown figuring to the black. Tonally it sounds identical, it feels EXACTLY the same as jet black ebony and is a little better for the enviroment.

I think I will go for an East when I get paid. The bass has so much sentimental value and like I say has by far and away the best ergonomics of any bass I own it is worth trying a new Pre to maybe find the tone I want from it.

Hey everyone, I am sure many of you are familliar with my love/hate relationship with my Ray, I love the neck, the weight and the balance but the sound just never fits right. I love my CIJ' P bass with a duncan 1/4 pounder and I loved my Corvette with 3 band active MEC. Give me some suggestions for easy replacement EQ's!

Couple of years back I had a long talk with the top guy from Dano in the USA, my company at the time were distributing them into mainland Europe. He said the core to a Dano is that is sounds like a Dano, and there is nothing else that comes close. Yes they are cheap feeling and made of plywood but thats what they should be. Cool guitars
