My honest opinion if you are looking to invest? Buy old Warwicks. Pennys at the moment and they will be worth more one day in the future.
I think the most important thing about a bass is its wood, as the wood pieces of this insturment :the body is Warwick and the neck is hand-made. This is a Warwick Streamer Stage with amazing specs. If you want to buy a Streamer Stage I (never touched one) this is not for you and they are crap IMHO. The construction is set-neck, the luthier cut off the neck and carved it to make a set neck construction and the new neck has an asymetric shape just like a Michael Tobias insturment. The nut is not original, its changed due to neck and fboard replacement. feel free to ask any questions. ta View My Video
I am really confused by this reply, it is not a Warwick bass in that only half of it (the body) is what left the factory. Being a NT then surely there is still a considerable piece of Wenge in the middle of the body below the new set neck? Secondly if this is a 1990 then the neck originally fitted would of been mostly maple which makes a replacement seem slightly pointless, yes it had Wenge stripes but the tonal difference that makes is really subjective, they are more for strength and looks than anything else. You say you have never touched a streamer stage I ? What about this one, before you decided it was awful and got all the work done? There is no such bass a Streamer Stage, the Stage part is either Stage I or Stage II indicating different woods. And sorry going back to earlier, 5A ebony? Never heard of Ebony being graded like that, the A grades refer to figuring, so you have 4 A flame maple, 2A burl etc etc. Luke it cannot be a RockBass as the body is concaved, the Rockbasses are flat bodies. Black HW was available back then but standard was Gold. Good luck with the sale but 3,700 is a steep ask when factory fresh Warwicks (which lets be honest here are what most people who like Warwick would want) go for around 1,000 second hand

Haha, this is possibly the best thread derailment I have ever read. Bravo BC
Take a look at page 14 of the German basses and Custom Shop option price list. Over £500 upcharge to have your body made from FSC woods. £206 upcharge on the price of an ebony fingerboard, or you can pay £911 for a Rio Rosewood fingerboard, totally endangered but for the right money, Warwick will build it.
Gotta disagree with this point. Warwicks Rio Stocks are from before the ban, they are the same as any other company in that they cannot buy anymore. Hence the price, they have a limited amount cut long before the ban and sat in wood storage at Markneukirchen. Offering it at a high price to customers who want it will hardly change the rarity of the trees.
I think it's the lefty thing ... I can't remember when I last saw a L/H Wal.
That is the problem! I have seen a couple on eBay and a few on Leftybass recently! Increases the GAS!

I am falling more in love with every single Wal I hear... If anyone in the south east has a lefty please let me know, I would love a noodle so I can convince myself I don't like it...

Hey folks, Another one from my clear out (photo tonight, I promise!) I have a Plectrum used by Gareth from Pendulum during their set at Sonisphere Prague in June 2010. I got to watch them from side of the stage and got this afterwards along with a copy of their album 'Immersion' I framed them together and did a decent job of it if you ask me! I figure if I play the fleabay waiting game I can pick up 70+ for this as there are probably very few about. £50 its yours! Or the pendulum fan in your lives!

Seeing as I have sold all my effects and gone back to the pure and simple TU2 only approach this is surplus to requirements. Specs stolen from GAK! -

4 X 9v Power supply outputs
Firm, water-rejecting Rok Tex - surface material
8 mm Upholstery
1 padded carrying handle
8 mm broad zipper
1 long external pocket
1 interior pocket (22 x 30 x 10 cm) for cables and accessories
PVC reinforcement at the lower surface
4 metal feet
All snap hooks and eyes made of metal
Transparent visiting card pouch
Imprinted with Rockbag Logo
The bag is a bit tatty (will snap a photo later) but 100% working order and very handy for gigs. It comes with the mains lead and a bundle of 9V power cables, you can buy various other connectors for more exotic cables from Thomann specifially for this board (under a quid each if memory serves) These go for £70 plus shipping new, mine £40 ono great little board and has served me VERY well. Photo with pedals on for scale! -

Have this laying about doing nothing (not mine in photo but identical) All working, my housemate had been using it as a headphone practice amp while his Vox was away, now no longer needed. £10 its yours. Can ship without too many issues, would think 3 quid roughly (it is not heavy!)
