  1. About the same price as a round of beers in Stockholm.
  2. Add SOLD to the original thread title and it'll close the thread. Cheers.
  3. It says it on the front panel; valve pre amp, class D power amp.
  4. I don't think anyone was suggesting that way of connection?
  5. Do you know what speakers are in the cabs please? Cheers.
  6. I saw that too but no stock anywhere that I could find.
  7. Yes, that's what I thought of doing but I'd like to keep a 20 foot cable as an option too. Fussy blighter I am.
  8. Normally I'd agree with you completely. In this instance however this is a 30 year old bass in totally original condition and this lead has never been used with it previously so it's not the cause. It works perfectly with the bass but is 20 feet long which is longer than I need for most gigs.
  9. Does anyone still produce instrument cables with this type of connector? I need the extra springy contact at the base to maintain a good connection on one of my basses. (I'm looking for a 10 foot cable; ideally right angled to straight connectors). Many thanks for any guidance.
  10. For the less informed it might be a good idea to add a link or some information about this item to your original post.
  11. Yes, using another CMD121P is definitely more of the same, but the NY121P cab adds a bit more low end. I sold my CMD121P and now use two NY121P cabs with my MB heads.
  12. Were you at the gig?
  13. Yes, as you live in Canada, getting Andy to help should be straightforward enough. Unfortunately it's not so simple from the other side of the Atlantic. Ashdown very often help free of charge which really is remarkable nowadays.
  14. Agreed that Ashdown customer service goes well above and beyond what they are required to offer. Ashdown is a small team with an exceptional attitude. However, for every Markbass user with a problem there are probably a hundred or more that don't.
  15. Unfortunately it's about as expensive to fault find down to component level and replace that component as it is just to swap out the whole circuit board the faulty component is on. So you're going to pay approx. £200 either way. The real problem comes when the authorised repairer cannot obtain the circuit board assemblies from Markbass because of the current worldwide shortage of some electronic components. The faulty component may be readily available but for the want of an IC perhaps, the circuit board assembly can't be produced. Pre covid that repair strategy seemed reasonable but now a component level repair would be a decent option.
  16. Just add sold to the thread title; that'll close it to further comments.
  17. I think those are replacement knobs, they aren't the usual shape used by TE. I'm sure it would've looked like this originally.
