1. Ah - I didn't know you were in manatees. Great band.
2. Do you play in a band called Wreck of the Minotaur?
3.
My local one definatly isn't laid back and there isn't any excuse for it. I asked to play a Deluxe P bass in there once and the answer was 'Will be you be buying it?'
I always answer "I won't know if I haven't played it". Failing that I go see Alex at the Bass Gallery, they've got an exceptional stock of basses.
4. We're bigger than Jesus.
5. I think that's actually an LG3000 - to be a pedant. It's also beautiful!
6. You're not having much luck mate.
7. It's worth noting that they don't make the Optocouplers used in the Mutron anymore as they had Cadmium in them. I don't really like the sound of the newer ones, there's also the HAZ which I don't think is very good either. As ever, YMMV.
8. I gotta say, the Filter on the POD XT (which is a mutron simulation) is very, VERY good.
9. That'll be the £100+ /m speaker cables vs. coathangers debate
10. FWIW, the Mutron is great - a great filter and a great investment. I think forumite "Higgie" is selling an original one that's in nice condition with the original PS-1 powersupply.
11. Know, no. Know?
12. Does anyone have a contact number for this magic bass pixie?
13. You've only really gained 5 more "new" notes (well, 6 - you've got the unison note fretted E) - why not rearrange some of your current songs to be more economical with movement?
14. That was quick! What recession?
15. Well, we can tell the dudes who don't know any theory. (I kid, I kid )
16. Great basses. Too heavy for me (I'm a pansy) but righteous tone!
17. Oh, me likey!
18. Call Larry - it's virtually odds on that your DI isn't the first of his to break. I'm sure he'll have suggestions. £45/hour and £15 for a fan is criminal. I could change it in 30 seconds once I'd undone the screws. There's usually not even any soldering
19. I'd get a Radial DI second hand from the USA.
20. I think it's more important (and more musically rewarding) to learn the musical relationships between the notes than learning where every Bb is by rote.
21. Toasted

SOLD

Is it possible for you to weigh it?
22.
A Remark You Made - Weather Report
Incidently my favourite bassline ever.
23. I hope you didn't buy a noise supressor.
