1. Thanks guys, appreciate all your comments. I think the body's probably off at the finishers now, so it'll be a while before any more updates. I just have to concentrate on paying for the thing now . . .
2. Looks fab - thanks for posting so many pictures for us to see. I like the new Red.
3. .... and Warwick's generous policy with endorsements for gigging metal bands.
4. Just to be clear: I think their music is toss. Never-the-less, popular toss. It has a sense of the zeitgeist about it.
5. Friendly Fires are very, very popular. They should be appearing on shows like this.
6. Or, send it to this TJ bloke
7.
Thats interesting. You no way more than me about this kind of thing Joe but what i can say is the jacks feel solid, not cheap as do the switches and the general construction seems good. It is also silent i did not notice any noise at practice last night. My pedal board gets abused every gig as i tend to get carried away so i will let you know how it lasts but at this point i dont have any concerns. As you say a gigrig or lehle might be more tour worthy but there is a difference in cost So i guess i will just have to wait and see how it lasts.
Sorry - I wasn't clear. I think they're great products, but they're maufactured to a price point. They don't do anything clever, and they do it well. Gigrig and Lehle are really expensive (out of the braket of what most people are willing to spend).
8. Those are two Lane Poor pickups. They make that bass a bargain. What a steal! If you decide to sell when you put the Nords in I'll definitely taken them off your hands.
9. Lefties are custom order only
10. Our very own wayne58 owns that bass now, and another, new modern which is very nice indeed. Convinced me to order one virtually the same!
11. I really hope that's keyboard.
12. Reading fail Yes, just use 47nF.
13. Also, don't just see Mixolydian from G see: Aeolian from A Locrian from B Ionian from C Dorian from D Phrygian from E Lydian from F (I'll need to check that... later. It's hard without my bass. haha)
14. Feeling somewhat in the firing line here...
15. 3 turns on the post for me. It has to be neat. Call it OCD.
16. Glad you're still with us!! Would you guys use an RCD on each wall outlet your using, or just one for the amp?
17. In my experience they use the cheapest of cheap parts, but then they're making a product aimed at a low price point. I'm not sure I'd go on tour with them - something like thegigrig or Lehle should be more reliable.
18. This should help: 0.5uF = 500nF = 500000pF I have hundreds of 0.5 uf caps. If you can't find one let me know what voltage and what type you need and I'll bob a couple in the post to you FOC.
19. Tone is in the fingers. You idiots. *ducks*
20. You could use a diago voltage doubler to double one of the 9v outputs to 18v
21. BigredX - how was your visit? What did you learn?
22. There's no harm in using preamp pedals with active basses. Also, this box is supposed to replicate the tone of the AG500 (one of my favourite amps) - if it does indeed do that I can see why it's so popular. There's loads of gear that various players think is "the best" by a bunch of different manufacturers. It'd be boring if we were all the same.
23. PM'd!
24. Put it next to a radiator? :brow:
25. That's the one I was thinking of.
