1.
I'm not bored of the argument though! Personally, I find most talk about tone to be a load of rubbish. In a live band scenario, a bass just sounds like a bass to me, especially when going through the PA. Most important thing for me is how comfortable or "at home" I fell playing a bass. Some basses I pick up and they just don't feel right, even without playing a note. Other basses just seem to "fit". I don't mean purely on body shape, it can be neck length/width/depth, type of finish, pick up placement etc. I find you get get a useable tone out of most things. Likewise, if your more comfortable playing a bass made of exotic woods and you think you can hear a difference, then great, its worth it for you.
Wait, you actually do play bass?
2. Jesus, that's a bargain.
3. Please stop making me jealous all you IP112 owners.
4.
Sorry to sound a neggy - especially since you appear to be really proud of the pics, but I can't really tell what your band sounds like from those - because it doenst really look like that's the gear you wear normally. And I have to agree that the outfits are a bit passé now anyway. I think the white BG style with stuff on the floor is a little naff too. The bad choices of make-up and dress do make the ladyvoice look a lot older than twenty something. I think the fact the photographer thought taking the shots from an elevation is probably the worst thing about them though. Are the set and choice of costumes what the snapper suggested? There we are, you did ask, terribly sorry.
That's what they wear on stage
5. There's some great gear really shifting on BC recently
6.
so no offers then? lol
Have you been drinking?

10. I'll take offers from anyone apart from MythSte, the price for him is £1000.
11. I'm happy to take offers on these headphones.
12. They have a very strange preamp that takes a long time to get used to. I think this contributes to people who have just "had a bash" on one not liking the sound.
13. I paid £2450 for my J-update 4 in 2007 through The Gallery (who got it in 5 months FWIW). Obviously the Euro/GBP ratio was much more in our favour then.
14. The updates are the 70's style. 70's pickup locations, ash body, Greengrove pre etc. I've had mine put away for a month or so since getting the Sadowsky, but I cracked it out last night and it blew me away all over again. It's *so* responsive.
15. I've used a SA200 at the Sadowsky shop and it sounded very, very clear and articulate. I'd definitely like to own one. One of the only amps I'd swap my DB750 for - I think :ninja: Joe.
16.
Hmmmm Top of the list on google. £88inc vat (plus £3 delivery) http://www.hificables.co.uk/11078/Grado-SR...CFQpNQwodvzwkaA Still considering my options however.... What's your lowest price, or are you already at it?
4. If you have a problem with the price of an item on the forum, stating it in an aggressive way on the thread undermines the sellers listing. Often however feedback on fair pricing is useful and constructive. Bear this in mind and be considerate and vigilant. If anyone is seen being aggressive or SERIOUSLY overpricing an item them you are best off sending a PM to the member and to a moderator. The best policy is that if you do not like the price, move on. The seller won’t sell and you avoid any arguments.
17.
I love my SR60s but wanted to ask a quick Q about the 80s. On the 60s the foam comes off to expose the driver, and hair can quite easily get trapped between the two resulting in rattling (after years of use there are lots of little hairs stuck in the foam earpieces). Are the 80s the same or do they have different foam in a donut shape as opposed to the flying saucer on the 60s? ped
Hey Ped, I'm not sure I understand the problem. I've had a look at mine but I can't see where hair might get in.
