2.
I never liked drum bank, Never liked the shop and the staff are pretencious dicks in my opinion.
If you're on about the guitar shop, I disagree, I teach there upstairs and when I'm hanging about between students I'm always impressed with how helpful Ian and any other staff have been for all customers. The stock's not amazing, fair enough, but there's a nice G and L Tribute and an ATK til recently, and a few Phil Jones's and Ashdowns Could do a lot worse than that!
3. Here we have my much loved ABM 300, t's a brilliant amp, what people say about Ashdown has no bearing on mine, at least, it's been 100% reliable and i get a fantastic sound out of it with my EBS 112 with no EQ whatsoever, but i fancy moving up to a hd350. I think the reputation these things have for being ''wooly'' or whatever is absolute rubbish and is a simple case of user error. It also has the 'valve grind' section on it which i find quite useful, and the sub harmonics which....to be honest I don't. It has some light cosmetic damage on the black coating stuff but other than that it's tip top and its been very well looked after. It's also good to note that this is the smaller version of the head, they did also a ''wide boy'' version. Pickup from Bristol or we could talk about postage. I want £225 ono, I think thats fair, let me know if you disagree. No trades unless you have a LMII or HD350 + cash on my part. Pics on request. EDIT, pic added Edit- £200
4. Get my tank an Ebony board and have the action sorted out, then get some gigs with it!
5. I know I like mine, and I like beer, I'll come!
6. With how it was on Jools, the thing that impressed me most was how tasteful and subtle his playing was, thanks for your help
7. Anyone know what the song he played was called? it was absolutely brilliant, I loved it.
8. A baby?! love a duck! congrats Lawrie!
9. That's one hell of a rig!
10. I can't imagine how a flea bass could lack in mids!
11. If that's a badass 2 I'll come and have it off you Lawrie, provided your tea making facilities are up to scratch!
12. Warning, this post is as pointless as the one above it, it's a '87 so it's the same age as me! Which is 20. 20 is a number.
13. It's going really well actually! cheers for the tip-off, i did it all and all of it worked! ah the aria! now that was a bass. I have a frankenfretless too, 89 japanese fender wood with 65 reissue pickups and a badarse, and it's stunning! Shame I let it down!
14. Dave I think that you should get the bass that you want, not that you think people, be it the public or prospective hirers- will like you for having, because at the end of the day you have to play it, and you worked to pay for it, and you're never gonna be yourself with it if isn't the right one.
15. I agree with you colda, a lot of the time you'd be lucky to meet someone who knows/cares enough about what you play to make judgements!

17. I still have 'Bongo Fever', but if I was gonna have one it'd be in LOOK AT ME orange, just for full effect!
18. alright dave
19. I'm finding my MIJ 65 Jazz bass with Bartolini's in it, into an aphex exciter and out through a 10k PA with 4X18 bins to be somewhat sexy. reminds me why i love bass!
20. I often find "generic slap bass riff" #'s 4 and 8 to be most appropriate for guitar shops, in E, naturally, as and as fast, loud and incoherently as possible.
21. I love that colour! i wish they did that model with a matching head and bound neck.. Truly tempted by that, to match my strat! but no...better not good luck with the sale!
22. Nothing for ages then two come up when im buying a car! agh!
23. Or....try everything flat, bass n'all, and everything at nice volumes, and work from there, but you might have done that already...
24. I hate to tread on your sale here and be a nasty bugger but I have a CAR version of this and I got it brand new from Ishibashi for just about 400 quid delivered. Sorry!
25. May as well give up now then! Is tuning that much of a hassle? really?
