I love this bass but it's too similar to my old 78 jazz so i might as well play the ''real deal'', ill consider any trade ideas but i'd most like a 64/65 reissue (not sure of the year), japanese jobber. Sounds a hell of a lot like my old jazz bass, but like i said, not a replacement, so i'm gonna get shot of it! There is a slight knock on the bottom, not visible from the front, where i'd dropped it at a gig. Bass will come with original bridge, not the badass you see here, Fender soft case. Will be putting this one on ebay. I'll sell for £550, but would prefer

Okay.. I've done the mod all fine and dandy but it only works the opposite way around to my bosses, and when in a daisy chain it either doesnt work itself, or stops the boss from working, i have tried wiring it several different ways and cant see what's wrong....could it be because i've took away the battery clip?

Nah it wouldn't, my laptop speakers are lacking in everything, the beauty of the knob on the sub i had was that it was physical, and took just a second to fiddle with, i don't think it's pointless at all, as it's annoying me enough having to switch it around in media player, and put the bass back in for general listening . I also disagree with the comment about not enough bass on records, it's all down to the style, i certainly don't think most soul records are lacking in bass, and at the end of the day overpowering bass out of context is an unpleasant thing. And also, the whole idea of doing this is to keep the overall bass volume in the semi detached that i live in to a minimum, i play between 4 and 6 hours a day every day, there isn't the ability to turn up the amp! I found that by tweaking the bass knob to cut it a fair bit meant i could practice at the lowest possible volume, yes i'd loose most of the kick but it doesnt hugely bother me. There must be some software out there to do this!

I have a laptop, hooray, and a hifi to hook it up to, wouldn't it be great if we had a little system tray gadget to cut the bass on the audio output (in my case, headphone stereo mini jack, for playing bass along to? I have a set of Boston Acoustics speakers on my desktop pc and besides being almost 10 years old and still amazing for what they are, the sub has a volume control, which is stunning for playing along to stuff with, but they have to stay put. Does such a thing exist? i know i can do eq's on media player and so on but i want something easy to switch EVEN BETTER, something that works on a keyboard shortut 'just like that' Come on techy computer people!

This weekend I decided to try to mod my double muff, i wanted the boss style power on it, I've ordered the parts in from Maplin's, as the ones I bought there yesterday were slightly the wrong size, but I tried the present mod with the right size adapter piece and success! it works! I will need to drill out the cutout on the back slightly to get the boss style socket to fit, I don't care about devaluing it, bought it to use it! I can finally put my pedal daisy chain to good use. Also gonna do the same to my Bassballs pedal and I also have a CS3 mod kit on order! I'll post pics of the finished article when it's all done!

As long as the cutout is the same size, that kinda thing is dead easy to do.

You're like me then, soon as i get something new. i take it apart and change bits. great fun!

Safe From Harm - Massive Attack, probably someone else's line sampled but i love it in the context of that track In fact, most MA

are they the kind of pedal you'd personally leave on for a full gig or use to an effect? i'm gonna buy one to trial, as i play passive jazz basses and i don't wanna go active but i like the idea of ''exciting'' my sound, nothing wrong with my sound mind, just think it'd be good for a laugh, do they have a di out?

Like I said, go and get it and pay the customs at your local parcelforce, the man at my parcelforce was the kind of guy who's worked there too long and every time i inconvenienced him slightly like ''oh ill pay by cash'' it was ''oh i suppose i'll have to go and get your change.... ...well....yeah

Nah I think I'll leave 'her' as she is, she has about 15 scratches and dents already after two gigs and two rehearsals and life with me! I'm rubbish at ''looking after' things, I might go out and 'relic' my car into Cheddar Gorge later.

I agree with ARGH. apart from ''semi name musicians''... Palladino is a better name than mine!
