1. Warning, this post is as pointless as the one above it, it's a '87 so it's the same age as me! Which is 20. 20 is a number.
2. It's going really well actually! cheers for the tip-off, i did it all and all of it worked! ah the aria! now that was a bass. I have a frankenfretless too, 89 japanese fender wood with 65 reissue pickups and a badarse, and it's stunning! Shame I let it down!
3. Dave I think that you should get the bass that you want, not that you think people, be it the public or prospective hirers- will like you for having, because at the end of the day you have to play it, and you worked to pay for it, and you're never gonna be yourself with it if isn't the right one.
4. I agree with you colda, a lot of the time you'd be lucky to meet someone who knows/cares enough about what you play to make judgements!

6. I still have 'Bongo Fever', but if I was gonna have one it'd be in LOOK AT ME orange, just for full effect!
7. I'm finding my MIJ 65 Jazz bass with Bartolini's in it, into an aphex exciter and out through a 10k PA with 4X18 bins to be somewhat sexy. reminds me why i love bass!
8. I often find "generic slap bass riff" #'s 4 and 8 to be most appropriate for guitar shops, in E, naturally, as and as fast, loud and incoherently as possible.
9. I love that colour! i wish they did that model with a matching head and bound neck.. Truly tempted by that, to match my strat! but no...better not good luck with the sale!
10. Nothing for ages then two come up when im buying a car! agh!
11. Or....try everything flat, bass n'all, and everything at nice volumes, and work from there, but you might have done that already...
12. I hate to tread on your sale here and be a nasty bugger but I have a CAR version of this and I got it brand new from Ishibashi for just about 400 quid delivered. Sorry!
13. May as well give up now then! Is tuning that much of a hassle? really?
14. Hotrox are fantastic, never bought tubes there but the customer service and delivery time has been, for me, propr gud!
15. No thanks mate, I'm happy with my future ebs rig that will result from this sale, and my jazz bass thanks though, come on it's a steal!
16. This thing's in great nick, I wont lie I've gigged with it a fair bit and it's never missed a beat but I'm gonna go for something a bit more ''hi fi'' and w***y! This little bugger is yours for 220 quid, pickup from Bristol, Cash only.
17. Thats a fantastic little nugget there, that's me occupied for a long time now cheers mate!!!
18. Hi there, does anyone know of any resources for free jazz and swing lead sheets online? like pdf's or something, there must be someone who has some up on their site, particularly sinatra and glen miller stuff, yes i can make my own but it'd be handy for everyone. anyone?
