1. more of a clearout, first up a Pbass body, has been stripped, lightweight (suggests alder but cant be sure it is definately solid wood though NOT ply) comes with w/b/w scratchplate, bridge and stagg neckplate (i have no idea of manufacturer the stagg neckplate was on it when i got it) £50 posted next up a warwick thumb style body, i bought this off ebay with the intention of buying a cheap rockbass and use the neck and parts etc but to be honest ive lost interest. its made from zebra wood and looks to be a half decent job and a good starting point, the pup and bridge routes are done but i cant guarantee theyr accurate as ive had nowt to try in there! £40 posted last up a cheapo neck, Pbass profile, maple with rosewood board, came off the HK jazz i bought for the body, its a very basic neck but totally useable, comes with tuners but no but (it cracked when i took strings off!!) [s]£20 posted[/s] SOLD pending
2. according to my bathroom scales it comes in at 5kg havent a clue what that is in lbs sorry
3. heres a lovely 1980 ibanez roadster RS924 bass, its totally original unmolested, bears a few battle scars the odd ding, scrape etc bit of rash on the back but this thing is built like a tank! frets are good very little wear considering the age of it. original electronics working 100% active 9v with passive/active mini switch. comes with the hardcase pictured, its missing its rubber feet and theres no key but its perfectly functional. £180 collected (Sunderland) £200 posted looking for a very quick sale on tis as ive bought another bass on ebay and need the funds to get that one!! or the missus will be most unimpressed!! http://s530.photobucket.com/albums/dd344/p...72_2008/ibanez/
4. just wondering how best to doi it? i bought a HK jazz bass recently off ebay and whenit arrived theres a couple of what look like permenent marker marks under the clear lacquer coat! it also appears that this was spotted before they sent it as theres dull patches where it looks like theyve tried to remove them but realised it was under the lacquer!! (see my build thread!) They did refund me some of the money and i'm still pretty happy overall with the body but i'd like to get it sorted. I'm happy to have an unlacquerd bosy and just traeted with oil etc to give a bit of a sheen. is it a major job to remove the lacquer?
5. ok so ive wanted to try putting a bass together for a while, and finally got round to trying it! I bought the bass off ebay - HK spalted maple top jazz!! the body is basswood (so they say ive really no idea!) with a spalted maple top. it arrived the other day and upon opening the box there i saw some permenant marker marks on the upper section of the body which are actually under the clear lacquer!!! and it looks like someone noticed and tried to remove them with stripper or something but realised they were under the lacquer and stopped - but not before 'dulling' the finish!! anyhow, other than these marks i have to say the body seems quite nice! the neck however is s**t, prob the worst 'cheap' neck ive seen! heres a pic of what it looked like out of the box! so my plan was.... replace the neck - I scored a very nice tokai jazz neck recently on ebay and as luck would have it the screw joles lined up perfectly so no extra holes required!!! replace the scratchplate with either black or tort - i ended up going with tort (because it was cheaper than a b;ack one) but i think i will go for black eventually replace pups and electrics - well i had a set of MEC jazz pups lying about so ive put them in will get round to replacing the bridge soon, also got a squire deluxe active circuit (bought off talkbass in the states for next to nowt!) so up to now this is waht it looks like: anyone got any tips on how to remove the lacquer so i can get the marker pen marks off!?? I would then just leave it un lacquered but use wax/oil or something on it
6. balance is great no issues not sure on weight i can put it on the bathroom scales and see. not after trades as need funds, sorry
7. i dont know much but i know that's def not genuine! the neck lookslike a cheap aftermarket, the logo doesnt look right, pickups wrong knobs wrong etc etc. just hope someone doesnt end up shelling out on this lemon!

10. ive got some old bits laying about that i'll never need, a full set of 5 warwick chrome machineheads (plus mounting screws) they came off a rockbass 5 stringer, in excellent nick very little use by the look of them, and off the same bass a chrome 5 string rockbass bridge, again in excellelnt nick looking for £25 for the machines and £15 for the bridge. both prices include postage
11. i had one, great acoustic basses these, i sold mine for £180 IIRC about a year ago, not sure about value these days, but definately well worth the money whatever that may be!
12. £100 plus postage - I need the funds!!
13. ive got a 1980 Ibanez Roadster RS924 4 string fretted, totally original from 1980, just curious as to their value? i'm not particularly looking to sell it at the minute but for future reference just wondered !?
