  1. Ooh, yes. Forgot this. Absolute classic 👍🏼
  2. 1 A band. 2 Some gigs.
  3. Not quite as good as our playlist, but here's an interesting one for anyone who watched Lover's Rock on Sunday: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4nDhPQw0qRaEBcJXWB85ND?si=FVXQqk7YQp-pBd4VBU8ZWw
  4. Could ask if you are not going to 'refresh' the track then is there any reason (technology improvements aside) to re-record 40 years down the line?
  5. Another one for Nahre Sol. Wow, what talent. All great musicians. Thanks for posting.
  6. What?! No point in discussing this any further, I'm going to 'off topic' where at least you expect this level of nonsense.
  7. Must admit, I'm firmly in the sceptical camp. I need a fully scientific experiment to test every variable in a fully blind test before I'll agree that wood has anything but the most miniscule effect on tone.
  8. The usual (B)alder(d)ash again 😎
  9. Pretty sure Bass Direct have UK exclusive.
  10. I am genuinely sorry for, and appalled by any abuse you have received. I have some Jewish and black heritage, although it is far enough back that it is not apparent. My mum and her mum were on the receiving end of abuse for the black heritage. However, anyone claiming to be left wing and dishing out any kind of hate speech does not belong on the left. If they say they are then they are wrong by definition, with one of the founding principles of Socialism being equality.
  11. No, there are laws against hate speech. Anway, we're breaking forum rules here and don't want to get the thread locked (robbing our freedom of speech ).
  12. Now that could be a whole thread in itself!
  13. Because so much of what right wingers think is free speech is actually hate speech.
  14. Walk on By was actually a poor example as it was written for Dionne Warwick. However, her other track from the same session was Anyone Who Had a Heart, which was a Cilla Black hit this sise of the pond. I think you a right. Self written is probably where the cover version comes from. Earlier (Jazz era) they were Standards.
  15. Which brings up the conundrum, when is a cover a cover? Walk on By is old school songwriting; songs which are then offered out often to multiple artists for recording. Who gets to claim the original?
  16. That's a really nice looking body (once you get the sticker/artwork removed. Got your money's worth with that alone!
  17. Earth Wind & Fire - Got to Get You Into My Life.
  18. Their cover of Bamboleo was so good they got away with telling everyone it was their own
  19. Anything originally by the Beatles - personal favourite Siouxsie & the Banshees Dear Prudence.
  20. Possibly one of the reasons it became the classic that it now is, is the structure of Stairway to Heaven, including the come down at the end.
  21. Apparently he has now corrected this.
  22. It's already here...
  23. OK @Frank Blank, do you really want a negative? That blooming 4 dot logo on the body! That's all I can come up with 😁
  24. I did think about editing, swapping unusual and interesting around. In fact, I will, as that will make more sense. And yes, nothing wrong with your choice of words!
